Q: i have mobile phone tools but it dont work help ?and how do i have my default phone to be a razr v3 ??
If you have Motorola Mobile Phone Tools, you need to have some means of connecting the phone to the computer. You have three choices - Infrared, Cable and Bluetooth. Also, you need to have your phone enabled to allow data transfer. If you have Cingular service, this is enabled already, if Verizon, then you will have to get the data transfer unlocked. Once data transfer is unlocked, the Phone Tools program will walk you through the setup for the phone. If you can't figure this out, then you need to study the help file for the program and learn how to use it. I would normally be happy to tell you how to use it, but not knowing your computer and your phone, I can't. Good luck, feel free to email if you need more help or would like to convey more information.
Q: I am being pressured right now to unlock a t mobile phone. Basically my uncle is giving my mother who has att/cingular a t mobile phone to use. We need to unlock it first. I am a ludite. I just need help as I have no idea what I am doing
When you have any sort of phone, from any provider/carrier, you need to contact the company and let them know what kind of phone you are using. This then goes onto record, even though you didn't purchase the phone from the company (you got it from your uncle). There is usually a set fee (for rogers it's 20-25$) and the phone will be unlocked. Contact the service provider and they will help you unlock your phone.
Q: Are you for or against mobile phones being dangerous?please give reasons :D(for my essay)thanks x
As with all pieces of technology, Mobile Phones cannot be considered dangerous just by itself. Mobile phones CAN be dangerous - that is, if used erroneously. It can be beneficial because of its portability. It's a communication device you can use to send messages to someone and call those people away from your current location. Apart from its typical functions, most PDA/Smartphones can be used to access the internet through Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) or a network-based access point (like 3G and HSPA). It simply solutions the communication needs of businesspeople and the common mass (consumers). Though the benefits are great, it can still be used for other, more dangerous things. Take for example an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). If someone rigs a set of explosives, a fuse and a mobile phone, he or she got him/herself an IED that he/she can trigger remotely with a cellphone. Also, on a lighter but related note, most modern PDA/Smartphones (like the Nokia N95, etc.) have GPS capabilities. That means, if the unlikely chance of some virus gets installed in your PDA/Smartphone, then a hacker can easily track where you are as long as you have an eye-to-sky (direct contact with the sky) GPS connection. Added to everything, a cellphone can be dangerous if one does not know how to mask information. Imagine a child answering a cellphone call from an unknown person and giving his or her address to the stranger.
Q: How does a mobile come to know that which operator is meant for it. What exactly happens and how a mobile phone attach to the network. How it is different if the mobile is in roaming area?
A cell phone network is made up of the cell phones themselves, base stations, and the mobile switching center (MSC) hardware which does call routing, etc. The base stations (cell towers) are always broadcasting out control signals that contain a System ID (SID) and how it expects cell phones to identify themselves. When you power up a cell phone, it hears this and registers with the nearest base station and your cell phone sends its Mobile ID Number. This Mobile ID Number is more than just your cell phone number, it also contains its own system ID (SID) number, and it also contains the ESN, Electronic Serial Number that identifies that specific phone. If the base station's SID and cell phone's SID match, then the phone is on its home network. If not, then you are roaming and connect to another provider's network, usually for additional charges. Your phone usually can hear multiple cell towers but connects to the one that has the best signal (signal to noise ratio). After your phone is registered, your cell phone number plus ESN are forwarded to the MSC, which sends this to a home location register or HLR. If it turns out you're not on your home provider's network, it goes to a VLR, Visiting Location Register. This way the cellular network always knows where you are, that is, which cell you're in (what cell tower) so calls can be router to/from your cell phone.
Q: I was going to buy boost mobile phones for me and my friend but i noticed there nicest phone was a flip phone and was $300!! Well there plan is good bcuz for $50 a month you can get unlimited everythingAlready been to OKorder they dont have the one i want.any ideas?
Well, you can put a Boost sim in a Nextel phone. The Blackberry Curve 8350 for Nextel is cheaper then the i9. You would have to put third party software like Opera mini for web and Googlevoice for texting to get around the lack of Blackberry services though. Max is about $200 in near mint condition. There are tons of other cheaper Nextel phones like the i836, which is a basic but good looking flip phone, the Blackberry 7100i, an okay looking Blackberry that goes for under $50 used (needs same setup as other Blackberry to fully work though), the i920 and i930 are Windows mobile smartphones that if you have them unlocked, can use Tmobile and Att sims as well as Boost and Nextel. They are the only phones in the entire walkie talkie iden lineup that can do this. They can't send texts with Boost sims, but you can try and rig an im program like Aim or Googlevoice to get it to work as a substitute. There are dozens of models of older Nextels . A lot of them aren't very pretty, but a few of them are okay looking . And many of them are dirt cheap and can work with your Boost sims. Craigslist and OKorder.
Q: Telecom phone can not access the Internet
Solution: If it is arrears, then pay off after the shutdown;
Q: If I were to go to a T-Mobile store, and buy, say a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, for FULL price, could I use it with another carrier like ATT, or Straight Talk?Do T-Mobile phones come unlocked since I did buy it full price?
If I were to go to a T-Mobile store, and buy, say a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, for FULL price, could I use it with another carrier like ATT, or Straight Talk? ------------ no…. tmobile wont sell you’re a phone at full price no matter how much you beg them Do T-Mobile phones come unlocked since I did buy it full price? ---------- no, contract, subsidy, or full price still means its locked. 1) Wireless Carrier stores, called CORS (company owned retail stores), do not sell phones at full price to non-customers. Either you are already a customer of theirs…. Or…. plan on being a customer of theirs in the next 10-15 minutes. Lmao 2) Branded wireless carrier phones sold at Full Price (499-699) on national retailer sotres and sites (walmart, amazon, radioshack, best buy) are locked to that carrier. You must call the carrier to obtain the unlock code. 3) Non-branded wireless carrier phones are sold ONLY by the OEM and are naturally unlocked, may/may not have additional hardware/software installed than basic wireless carrier versions, and are geared, mod’d more to developers and techs rather than the idiot sheeple of the general public. They are $699-$999…
Q: Have you ever been conned into taking on a contract , with the promise of an upgrade after 6 months to find out then it wasn`t true , and you are stuck with a rubbish phone for at least another 9 months ?.I have - thanks to them lovely people at a certain mobile phone store where their ad is similar to that programme back in the eighties 321.With the dim bloke who keeps shouting YEAH !!
they do no longer seem to be observed as cellular telephones in Australia, they are cellular telephones. call them cellular telephones and a lot of persons won't be attentive to what you're conversing approximately. the biggest companies are Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone. Telstra is the biggest and owns all the infrastructure which the others use. There are different companies which pop up each and every now and then. i take advantage of Telstra and have few issues of them yet I even have had issues of Optus. you will discover human beings the place the opposite has befell. examine out all the companies once you have become your cellular and look for the appropriate deal for you. The deals replace commonly yet you will discover one that fits you.
Q: Phone did not sound how to get?
If not mute the function of the words, then you can try to restore all the settings of the phone.
Q: Anyone has or has had a virgin mobile phone--- what are the pros and cons. I know they're good 'cause there is no contract but money wise would you spend more on one of these then on a cell phone with a contract?
coo but i never had one of them
