- Q: I'm curious as to what education or courses are needed to obtain your real estate license in California. I am only 18 years old and am attending community college at the moment. However, I don't want real estate to be my main focus career wise. Hoping the license can be a secondary thing on the side.Any information would be helpful. Hopefully what courses or classes!
- You have to take certain basic Real Estate courses which are offered in some community colleges or you can take quickie prep courses at Anthony Schools which gets you to pass the state exam without in-depth understanding. Then you get a conditional sales license and have 4 years to complete two more classes and then you get a RE sales license. You put your license with a real estate broker. You then have to find leads and make contacts to get listings. The core course is Real Estate Principles.
- Q: real estate business status in india and should i go for expensive building business or small scale housing
- There are courses in real estate, you may have to take ,and the best way is to find a job in a real estate office. Here in Connecticut, you must be Licensed and to get your agent's Lic. you have to be sponsored by a broker, before you can take the test to get your permanent Lic. Your State may be different? Lets face it, to take the test you have got to know what real estate is all about, and working at it is the best way to learn. I think you will have to also hit the books, but even that would be easier, with some practical experience under your belt. Real estate is all about SELLING! If you think you can sell, if you like people, and you can stand being under paid for a while, because any income you make will be based on commissions for anything you actually sell. If you can get through all that, there is a good living to be made for someone who is a hustler and is dedicated to their job. I hope this helps you? The Very Best of Luck to You!

Keep in brain for the period of all of this, that they're running for you. If they don't seem to be running however simply gathering a paycheck, discover anybody else. - Q: how does someone get a real estate license? how is the process? and how hard/easy is it? also, what do i do after i get it? where do i get a job, how much it pays and...will i get a job? thnx!
- go to your local community college....you take two intro courses...take the test...after that you can get a job at a realty office...but you have to pay them to work there....and you get a commission of everything you sell but the market is bad right now and don't expect to make any money for a while
- Q: So, I live in California.Highly interested in taking Real Estate courses in order to receive my license. I was taking a look at the DRE (Department of Real Estate) and I saw an idea of the courses I would need to take. But do I have to go somewhere directly to take classes? For example Community College. Or can I buy books, study, and take the exam? I want to get started right away so someone with experience please help! Thank you!!
- California Department of Real Estate normally require you to attend a course either in person or online to qualify for your California real estate license. There are no independent study courses that you might take. Someone must sign a document indicating you have taken the requires study courses. A school would be able to provide you the required courses as well as provide proof that you have completed the courses. Once you have taken the required courses you would then be able to take the California real estate examine. In order to take the real estate courses there is a cost, find out what this cost is prior to agreeing to the real estate school. You would also be required to pay a fee to take the real estate examination. If you are successful in passing the real estate exam you would then be required to pay for you real estate license. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
- Q: I am considering getting into real estate investing in select markets, but have neither the credit nor the money to get started. I would like any suggestions on how to overcome this issue from any experienced investors out there.
- If you like real estate as an asset class but don't have the money to buy properties yet, consider buying some kind of REIT (real estate investment trust) shares, which trade like stock shares. You won't have to have a lot of cash to start, though you will of course need some! As the first answer says (that answer gets my vote for best answer!), you don't want to borrow heavily to invest in real estate unless you're going to live in the property. Real estate prices move in both directions, and without putting money down, you can end up owing more on a loan than the value of the property you bought with that loan.
- Q: would you prefer a real estate agent with tattoos who is relaxed and easy going, or someone who drives a nice car and suit and both are equally helpful?
- Sorry--I don't get the point of this question. Sounds like stereotyping to me.
- Q: I want to purse a major in Public Relations with possibly a minor in marketing. I want to work mostly in media and entertainment field but I was wondering if I could turn a degree in Public Relations into working in real estate? If so, how does it relate? Is it common for people with pr degrees to work in real estate? Do it affect the salaries?
- Some realty agents hire PR people to get their names in the newspaper. Since real estate marketing is very similar to PR, you might have a great career in real estate. You are hired to put houses up for sale and your job is to attract buyers to the house.
- Q: so i know to be able to get your real estate license i would first have to have 2 years experience to be a real estate sales person and get my salesperson license. i also know the requirements for that, i just applied for my college classes for real estate and i know that i have to pass these classes and then pass my examination test to get my real estate salesperson license...so i wanted to know how hard is the examination?what questions should i look out for?and how many times did it take you to pass?how many tries can you get?im gonna try to take mine after i pass my classes and i wanted to know if its PRACTICAL to believe that i can pass on my first try :P
- You might would want to check the requirements as to what is required to obtain a real estate license in your state. Normally there is no requirement to have two years requirement to obtain your real estate license. There is normally a two year experience as a licensed sales person to become a real estate broker. Also normally a real estate person applying for a real estate license there is no requirement to obtain your license, after completing two years of college. In most states you may go on line to obtain the classroom requirement to obtain the requirements to take the state real estate examination. In most states you may take a weekend class to qualify for the classroom requirements, prior to taking the state real estate examination. After getting your real estate license you would be required by your state to have continuing education in the real estate field. This can be obtained by seminars, classroom study or other approved means recognized by your Department of Real State. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
- Q: I inhereited a home in Texas from my parents about 7 years ago. I have been putting as much $ as I can afford to keep it up and to pay the taxes. I don't know much about real estate, so can someone please help. The house is in Texas and I live in Illinois.I can't afford to travel to Tx. and do this myself. The house is vacant on 1 acre. The house needs work. The real estate taxes are too high for me ,especially since the house is run down.Who do I contact and how do I try to get the taxes lowered ?
- Rent it out, if it is vacant, and you want to have the property and the home making money. Just sitting there not being used at all, your real estate taxes will eventually drop when it is basically in bad condition. If the house is in the Houston area, I may be interested in renting it myself if you decide to rent it.
