Q: for making cement decorative hand made cement tile there is device sometime call cookie cutter also to portrait some design is called divider
The metal frame that divides the tile into different sections is made from strips of metal carefully bent and soldered into place. I have seen steel ones and also brass mold patterns. The key to it is to have the bottom of the strips perfectly flat and level so that when you pour in the liquid cement mix, each color stays in its own compartment. See the link below to see a mold pattern and also the finished tile from it. A lot of history and more photos are on the second link.

Q: I‘m tiling my bathroom shower and need to cut holes for the shower head and body sprayers. I‘m using porcelain tile and I‘m not having any luck cutting the holes. I‘ve bought a couple holes saw bits that say they are for porcelain, but they just don‘t seem to be doing the job. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Q: I need to tile a kitchen back splash from counter to cabinets. Backerboard at the moment is drywall, textured and painted. I‘d like to hear some opinions on tiling directly over this or using cement backer board. Also thinset or mastic?
You can tile directly over the splash area the way it is. You should use a good quality multi-purpose thinset with most products. You can probably get away with mastic if you use light-weight wall tile, but you get a better installation using multi-purpose thinset with the majority of products out there today (stone, glass, metal, porcelain, large-bodied tiles, etc.). Be sure to caulk where the tile meets the countertops and where it meets wood.
Q: Do you have to rough up the old flooring ?
You certainly do need to rough it up, you may also need to seal or prime it - I have seen new tiling 'creeping' over old, when the glue hasn't really been suitable. The best thing is to get recommendations from the tile manufacturer for the right adhesive for this situation (probably a solvent based one).
Q: CAN I LAY TILE WITH NO GROUT LINES?
The other Steve is correct. Tile is designed specifically to be grouted, most importantly to keep dirt, etc. out of even the most minute space if you BUTT them together, beyond that aesthetics is another purpose. You can create a grout line as thin as 1/8 inch. The issue is in the bonding agents of the grout, and it's intended purpose. All that said however CAN is certainly something valid. Will it remain a valid/viable installation? Doubtful. Since you don't add detail about the WHY of your notion, it's difficult to assess the issue. It would seem as an assumption that you might be happier with a smooth, seamless surface, which you wouldn't get by butting tiles with no grout lines either. Steven Wolf Thousands of sq. ft. of tile
Q: New handyman project involves putting ceramic tile on bathroom walls. Never tried this before. Any tips or suggestions? What about a web site with do it yourself directions?
I agree with fearjar. You could tile over tile, but its best to do it right and go back to a solid, clean base that is free of mold and other defects. This gives you a chance to inspect the plumbing (which according to Murphy's law will burst if you don't check it) and will make for a more even installation.
Q: What are the benefits of installing tile in kitchen and bathroom or would linoleum be better? Also, how hard is it to install tile floors. I‘ve had friends who‘ve had no experience and they did it and did a good job. I am just a bit skeptical of doing it myself but just wondered if there are videos out there that shows you how to do it.
Tile is better in my opinion than linoleum. I don't know about videos, but there are instruction manuals where you get your tile. Everything you need is pretty much in the same area as the tile. The only thing you need to remember when laying tile is; make sure you leave no space( not even pencil size) between each tile, do not get the tile wet for (they say 72 hrs.) at least 4-5 days (this is my advice). You want to make sure that it dries and seals thoroughly. With linoleum you are taking the risk of it seperating and warping (which happens very easily). The instructions on linoleum says do not mop or walk on it for 3-5 days; when truthfuly you want to stay away from it for 7-10 days. If living in the home this is impossible!!
Q: I have a few chips in my ceramic floor tile. It‘s a light natural color tile, so the chipped part is dark and noticeable. Is there anything that you can put in the chips to cover them up?
