- Q: Just a couple of the many tips that I have for vacuum cleaners. So, what's the clogger king?HAIRPINS, BOBIPINS! I service vacuum cleaners and the number one thing I find in the hoses of clogged vacuums are the hairpins that end up lodged sideways there because the spinning brushroller underneath the vacuum separates the pin and everything that follows must somehow travel around the pin. It's usually a small piece of cardboard, or a matchbook cover.REMEDY?Get yourself a magnet and skim the floor first. You can also get a magnetic strip that goes across the front of the vacuum online at any vacuum cleaner parts supplier. Now, for the filters.Hepa's CLOG! FAST! The vacuum cleaner manufactures know this and they screw you out of your money. PERIOD!Hoover uses ELECTROSTATIC MEDIA to make their filters. - Thanks, my dog's hair ALWAYS clogs my vacuum
- Q: What does Consumer Reports say are the best bagless vacuum cleaners (under $200)?
- I looked this up on Consumer Reports for you and this is what their report said. I can give you more facts if you would like. Hope this helps!!! - Q: He doesn't seem to be scared of any other loud noise but he screams when we go to the store and pass by them. He also panics when we touch or go near our own vacuum at home. I just wonder if this is normal he's been scared of it for the longest time and still can't seem to get over his fear.
- That is a very odd fear. He is old enough to talk about it. Ask him why it scares him.
- Q: I am looking to spend up to $400 on a new vacuum as my wife has some pretty nasty allergies to dust mites and molds. Any suggestions as to make/models or even just types of vacuums (bagless/bag) that I should consider. Thanks!
- My son has allergies and I bought a Dyson DC08, I have to say they are great hoover?s you might think they are a bit bulky but once you get accustomed to them there great , they really get the dirt up and no bag
- Q: Lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners, weird noises in general ect... ??? Thank you for answering.
- Annoys, as opposed to fearful of? If an undisciplined and uncontrolled dog is allowed by its thoughtless and inconsiderate owner to run over and is “in his face” assertive throwing its weight around, that will be stopped by “telling” the other dog not to mess with him by his confident posture and vocalization. By nature he is a confident, sound, even tempered and mellow dog that does not look for trouble or instigate a fracas but neither will be back down and run/cower if a dog is shows aggression. The ***** is reactive to a couple of sounds, and either stands by my side, knowing that I will handle her problems or checks back at me and if she sees I am calm and confident, will think there is no reason to be anxious and forget about it quickly.
- Q: case in point: we have bought two vacuum cleaners in the last 4 years that have stopped working. i mean, we only vacuum once a week or so, and these were name brand vacuums like hoover and such for around $100 or so. they shouldn't have died so quickly. anyway, i bought an antique vacuum from the 1940s off OKorder and it works like a dream. i imagine if it has lasted 60 years, it will serve me well for many more. i am just sick of cheap products. anyone else buy antiques instead of quot;brand newquot;?
- Yes, most stuff made nowadays is cheap, plastic imported junk.
- Q: hi as its hoovers 100 years i am wondering what films movies have vacuum cleaners in or movies have hoovers in
- How about kirby from the movie the brave little toaster
- Q: It's not but two years old. Took it to a house with really old electrical outlets/wiring system, plugged it in and it ran. Turned it off, tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't turn on again. No electric box switches were tripped/turned off. Also tried it in outlets in all three rooms but it still didn't turn on. Fo vacuum cleaners have fuses the protect the motor? Any thoughts as to what's going on and/or what I can do (besides buy a new one)? Any advice appreciated.
- i think it sounds like you blew the motor.
- Q: I've owned a number of upright bagless vacuum cleaners, and they have all sucked (well, they've actually all stopped sucking to be precise). The Dyson claims to never lose its power, but its also 5x more expensive than the average upright. Is it worth it?
- We used to own an Oreck and it was good, but the bags were expensive and it is really, really dirty to change them. When the Oreck finally went kaput we went to the local Oreck store and saw our model is now $899, yes that's right. Oh yeah, you get a bunch of free crap you don't want or need and you a get a 30 day trial but no way is it worth it. Bought the Hoover that was in Consumer Reports, it did OK but it was really noisy, so bad it hurt my ears. It did a fair job cleaning but spewed dust after about 6 months and was always a hassle to clean. So I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they recommended the Dyson. This is the best vacuum in the history of the world. It cleans incredibly well, it is quiet and it doesn't spew dust when I clean out the canister. I will never buy any other vacuum, but based on my two years of heavy duty use (I even use it as my shop vac) it doesn't look like I'll ever need another one anyways. I had one piece break and when I called Dyson they sent me a free replacement with free shipping even thought the warranty was expired.
- Q: If Adam was made from DUST does God consider vacuum cleaners as EVIL?
- Probably yes. What are you smoking this morning?
