- Don't believe the myth that I just need to patch a small hole. Replacing larger areas is much easier than patching small areas. Cut the drywall in a rectangle surrounding the hole until you expose the studs on either side. Measure the open space carefully and cut a similar sized patch from a sheet of drywall of a similar thickness. Screw the patch piece to the studs and then apply drywall compound the the face of the edges. Apply paper tape over the mud that you've applied and then apply more compound. When the mud dries, sand it until it is smooth to the wall and repaint that section.

- If it has to go into plasterboard, I'd recommend insurance for your TV, it's coming down. If you mean it has to go through plasterboard, then use a stud finder and hang the tv off at least two studs. It'll be fine and make sure to measure twice, you don't want extra holes in your plasterboard.
- Q: hello I intend on insulating and plaster boarding my shed soon. However I am not entirely sure of the best way to plasterboard onto a metal frame, because I do not want screws poking out of the board because you cannot nail into metal obviously. So I was wondering do most people use only liquid nails or how else is the board applied to the frame? I heard you can put small pieces of wood between the frame and the board then nail to the wood, is this a good technique? advice and opinions would be much appreciated thanks
