- Q: have you noticed that there has been an exceptionaly high volume of cranes falling over in the U.S.A. this year? 2 cranes went down this week, one in Texas killing a man. seems like there has alot of this lately, what the hell is going on with the cranes? ever night i turn on the news its like a deadly crane accident took place today . thanks.

- Q: if someone have formula for that, one telescopic crane is lifting and i know about the boom lenght and redius,then how i can calculate the angle,if crane crane angle indicator is not working.thankyou.
- Boy! You really need to get the angle indicator fixed and calibrated! There are ways to estimate, but they are inaccurate and therefore not safe, if you have not got the expierence to do it. Don't use the crane for any load close to your SWL!!! An addition: unless you want to measure your reach, i.e. the distance from the crane pedestool to your load, then you can calculate the angle, but you don't need to anymore as you now know what the distance of your lift is and therefore you can look up the SWL on your chart. Get it fixed.

- Irving Crane would have won, I think. Mosconi was a showman although not a bad player. Crane seemed to be more serious about competition and playing the game seriously. Mosconi and Minnesota Fats made the game more popular here in the U.S. by playing on t.v in the 1970's.

- Q: I have an odd fear of construction cranes. I literally get chills and almost dizzy anytime I see cranes. I get very nervous and almost want to cry. I know this is so odd but, I've seen phobias of things that are even more odd so I wonder...is there a phobia for my fear? Does anyone else share my fear?
- It took some research but here goes nothing. Aeorema were the cranes used in greek theatre. If the fear of cranes is specifically related to a fear of being snatched up by one, maybe Aeoremaphobia would be a more correct term. Cheers
