Q:i cant find a poetry site that will let me read this portion of The Bridge, the epic poem. i need help
I okorder /.. Try searching lines from the poem if that doesn't work for you like imponderable the dinosaur sinks slow.
Q:how to build a crane using:woodelasticsgluescrews/boltsbottlessyringesnailsplastictin canand rubber tubingplease be detailed,thanks! :)
Carefully. okorder has kit numbers and downloadable instructions for many Lego cranes. You might be able to find some of them on OKorder. You may not need to actually build the Lego crane. Instead, look at the model, determine the major pieces (wheels, turntable, arm, etc.). Then, look at your bundle of pieces and make something with the same function.
Q:I know it sounds like a silly question but I just wanted to know what kind of crane he is because I've never seen a crane with black feathers.
Red-crowned Crane is a large crane and is the second rarest crane in the world. In East Asia, it is known as a symbol of luck and fidelity
Q:I am making a lot of little paper cranes, and so far I have 144 cranes. I want to know what different number of cranes mean. Like, what do 100 cranes mean? Good luck? Long life? I don't know!!! So what do 100 cranes and 1000 cranes mean?!? Please answer if you know, this question is almost driving me crazy!!!!
A Japanese legend indicates that anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes will be granted a wish. Sadako Sasaki was a Japanese girl who died from radiation sickness from the A-bomb dropped on Hiroshima. She wanted to fold 1000 cranes before her death at the age of 12. There is a peace monument to her memory in Hiroshima, and people from all over the world send paper cranes to the site.
Q:I'm not afraid of snakes, mice, spiders, or any insect, for that matter. Except crane flies. I'm not even afraid of mosquitoes! However, I've been afraid of crane flies since I was six. I live in Louisiana and The crane flies came today, exactly on the same day they came last year. I don't care about them outside but I freak out when they're inside- especially in my bedroom, the bathroom, and the living room. What can I do to a) protect my house from them and b) not be afraid of them? I'm 14 by the way.
Your fear is a bit of a mental conditioning, like brainwashing yourself into fearing them. Sure, they can be a bit pesty, especially buzzing around your face, but they are totally harmless. They are much like butterflies at night. Instead of practicing being afraid of them, try catching them. As a kid I would play with them. We called them mosquito hawks because they look like giant mosquitoes. (but they don't bite and don't eat mosquitoes) I used to sit on the porch and watch the sun set. I had a beautiful orb weaver that would come out from the porch light and make one of those fancy webs.(I loved watching that). then the crane flies show up. when a persistent one would buzz my face, I would catch it and toss it into the spiders web. Just try catching one, and maybe look at it, play with it for a while, and/or toss it outside. learn how to control your fear, rather than let it control you.
Q:How much height should tower crane work at M?
Try to ensure that the tower crane in the wind is too large to be free of rotation. The safe distance between the rear arm of tower crane and adjacent buildings shall be no less than 50cm. The safe distance between tower crane and power line meets the requirement.
Q:I am going to make 1000 paper cranes like Sadako Sasaki did. I am doing it to remember the victims of hiroshima and nagasaki and all the others who died as a result of wwii. especially sadako sasaki who, though she died in 1955, she was poisoned by the toxic gases in hiroshima. what do you think of my project, and got any tips to help?
Yes, you are going to make 1,000 paper cranes. Here's a tip: After you are finished making them, do not forget to make 300,000 more paper cranes for the millions of Chinese who died as a result of Japanese aggression in the Sino-Japanese War.
Q:Ok so I am now on my laptop in my room, in my bed and I am bursting for the loo, like really bad. I knew before I went to bed there was a crane fly in the hall (outside my room), so I made sure I went to the loo before I went to bed. But me being me I need it again but i have phobia of those dreaded crane flys. I went out and put the light on making sure 2 close the bedroom door, and then it started to fly towards me so I ran back to my room. I need help cause I don't know what to do?I am petrified of them. My fiance would normally move it for me but he is on night shift tonight. The last time this happend I stayed up all night and went to the loo at 7 am when my daughter got up, I don't want to do that again considering it is only 1:44 am over here
No dude, youre confusing two different species. Daddy long legs- or Harvestmen, as they're known in the UK- are the ones with powerful venom, but fangs too short to bite a human being. Crane flies, which look kind of like a flying daddy long legs, are a species that feed one nectar only. They are not carnivorous, and they don't have fangs, or a stinger, or any other means to defend themselves. The females have a tool on their abdomens for depositing eggs. It looks kind of like a stinger, but it is not one, and can do no harm at all.Daddy long legs-spiders can not fly. Crane flies don't even live long enough to eat. Most of the species of crane flies live long enough to mate, and nothing more. Theres is no reason to fear either species. Oh, and they don't eat mosquitos. That's a myth.
Q:could someone give me a good summary on the red badge of courage, and yes i did read the book and i have trouble understanding, and help would be good thanks!!
A kid, full of beans, runs off to join the army to annoy his mum, but on the eve of battle suddenly becomes paranoid that he'll do something to disgrace himself through cowardice. (That's actually as far as I got in the book so far.) I am given to understand, though, that in his own mind at least he does disgrace himself and endeavours for the rest of the book to redeem his manliness. In that sense the story arc, or at least the character arc, is not dissimilar to The Four Feathers. The point of the story is to counterpoint the myths of warrior gung-ho and daring-do, and to analyse the inner anxieties and motivations of the individual, volunteer-citizen soldier, and by extension the expectations of society. The novel also presents the battlefield with an unprecedented realism; that is to say, Crane presents the actual fog of war that authors have always set out to clear.
Q:I have a question about cranes...does anyone know what the maiximim weight is that they can lift. A friend and I were discussing this and i was just wanting to know if anyone might have the answer. Thanks guys
Do not know where you live but I worked in a Shipyard in South Mississippi That had Cranes which picked up Modules which weighed 100 tons. Most were in the range of 50 to 70 tons the limiting factor was the range of the lift away from the crane. The further away from the Crane the less the load limit but the Cranes were rail mounted so they could traverse and carry the load anywhere. We had one Crane capable of handling 500 tons, a real monster. These are all located at Pascagoula Mississippi. Most were imported from Germany.
