Q:My mom wants to make a vegetable garden/wild flower garden. We have a mediam sized front yard and our large backyard. Our backyard has barely any light. You can grow many vegetables and herbs in containers, just place the containers in the sun and use containers tall enough so your dogs can't use them for toilets.

When I was like 13, I received a some magazine, like Seventeen or something I don't remember, every month for a year and I hadn't ordered a subscription and no one had ordered it for me...idk it was weird!

Q:The name of the book I purchased the wallpaper was from Garden House...: I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. I called all the stores in town to see if they had any in stock, no luck. Then I hunted down hardware / wallpaper stores on the Internet (not the big ones like American Blinds Wallpaper) and emailed them. I got responses from almost all of them, and two of them had a couple of rolls in stock. I wasn't able to get matching lots, but the difference wasn't that big of a deal -- I just changed to a new roll at a corner and it's not very noticeable. When you email them, give them all the info you have -- manufacturer, book page number, pattern number, describe it if you can (purple floral, whatever), and if you happen to have a small picture, attach it to the email. It can't hurt! Also, check eBay. Good luck!

Q:I need to have my vegetable garden watered while on vacation for about 5 days. I have looked on the internet and found people were using plastic bottles or jugs by filling a bottle with water and putting a needle size hole in the cap then sticking them into the ground a few inches down next to the plant. I've tried that, the water ran slow or it ran fast, like in one day the water was gone. I tried putting a needle hole in the bottom of the bottle and the water leaked out faster. I would ask someone to water my plants, but everyone will be gone that weekend. Got any other tips? Am I doing it the wrong way or what? Thank You to all who answers.: I would have a trustworthy neighbor come over and water your garden for you while you are away. Overall the safest option. Could set up a soaker hose set up on a timer. Could go to your local D.I.Y. Store (do it yourself) and purchase those items.

With summer coming around, this is the perfect time to start a home vegetable garden.: My okorder ...for everything you need to know about propagating, cultivating and harvesting including choosing which vegetables to grow; crop yield calculating; seeding, planting-out harvesting times; companion planting crop rotation; bedding lay out; soil composition (how to make your own)...etc. The Square Foot Method is VERY efficient with space and effort needed to grow vegetables. Almost guaranteed success (if you don't plant it, It wont grow)... The SF Method is EASY for beginners to grasp and adaptable for small gardens; though these things are just as appealing to more experienced gardeners as well. Very informative and motivational. Mel is a great teacher ! I can't praise him and his book enough! Good Luck!

Q:Do you think that Garden Offices like Outbuilds are a good solution for home workers ??...Does any work in a garden office, does is seperate your personal from work life ?: no, they look very small....just separate one room in your home and make it your business...get dressed for work, and close the doors...only allow interruptions if necessary.
