FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Basic Information :

Q: HI ,THIS IS MY FIRST TILE PROJECT. I AM INSTALLING A BACKSPLASH ON SHEETROCK USING 4.5X4.5 PORCELAIN TILES. USING OMNIGRIP MASTIC APPLIED WITH A 1/4 X 3/16 V-NOTCH TROWEL. THE TILES HAVE A WAFFLE BACK. MY CONCERN IS DO I HAVE TO FILL IN THE WAFFLE DEPRESSIONS,WHICH SEEM TO BE 1/16 DEEP,BY BACK BUTTERING PRIOR TO APPLYING TILE TO COMBED MASTIC. ALSO, IS THE TROWEL SIZE CORRECT?P.S. WHY DO SOME TILES HAVE A WAFFLED BACK AND SOME A PRACTICALLY FLAT BACK? THANKS!
you must change your space for your kitchen space first
Q: I have painstakingly cleaned and restored victorian age tiles in hall (using natural and eco products). Wondering what to seal with? Found few eco tile sealants but wondered if anyone used any without distorting the colour? Thanks :)
Most tile have a glazed finish so unless it dose not have it,it will be difficult to seal. You don`t mention wheat her its wall or floor tiles,if it wall tiles you might get away with it.If it floor tiles I think it will cause a problem by walk over it.
Q: Immediately home decoration, and now consider the floor, but they do not understand anything, so would like to ask about what the advantages of the two? How much can the cost be?
Ordinary price wrong is not too much ordinary wood flooring for a long time easy to deformation and decay but the tiles will not be and can also effect
Q: I am installing some mesh mounted 12x12 glass tiles sheets on one wall of my kitchen (behind the stove). I was reading online how to do it and I have a question. Some sites say to put the bottom tiles flush with the counter top and some sites say to use 1/8 spacers between the countertop and the bottom of the tiles and fill in with grout colored cauk. Which should I do? Thanks
Definitely use the spacers and the grout caulk. By the way there is a product available that is not grout colored caulk but is actually grout caulk....it's sold at large tile stores, and is made for those areas that you're describing. The reason for using the grout caulk in that space is that there is always a certain amount of movement where the cabinet meets the wall. If there is no expansion joint which cushions that movement, something will break, and in your case it will probably be the glass tile.
Q: If so, what do you clean it with? I have one in my kitchen I hate it! I‘m always cleaning it and we don‘t even wear shoes in the house but yet it always looks like it has blackheads! I have used the magic eraser to get the marks off but it‘s a p.i.t.a. :)
It’s a pain but a stiff scrub brush with hot water and a small amount of soap will get the dirt out. The problem is that you have to do it every week because the groves collect dirt. But don’t use too much soap because when you use the scrub brush you will end up with too many bubbles!
Q: I have a tile shower that is looking rather shabby. I‘ve been considering ripping the tile out and re-doing it, but I was given the suggestion of professionally refinishing the tile. Has anyone ever done this? What is involved? I‘m okay with the tile, but I‘d like it to look nicer than it does with out spending a ton of money.
Tiles Spacers Silicone caulk Caulk gun Plastic spoon Level Tape measure Mastic V-notched 3/16 trowel Wet saw Pencil Also, you can get various tiles at any hardware store for anywhere from $2 - $10 per sq. ft. depending what you pick out. It really isnt difficult. Caulking takes a while to dry, so if you have a hard time positioning a tile, you can remove it and replace it until you get it right. Someone at the store can answer any questions. If you would like, I can probably e-mail you detailed instructions that will walk you through it.
Q: Can I go over the exixting tile,or do I have to remove the old tile first. There is ceramic tile there now,and I want to intsall new ceramic tile.I hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question.
As long as the tile down now is down tight and secure. The surface must be clean and dry w/ no oils or wax on them Dont use your plain latex thin set, get one that is stronger, price will help dictate it. Allow a minimum of an extra day drying time since the moisture has no where to go , before walking and or grouting. Any questions you can e mail me GL
Q: I just remodeled a home and I am having a hard time cleaning the newly istalled tile. I mop and mop but the tile still looks dirty. I guess its all the powder and sand that was created by the remodeling. Am I supposed to use some type of acid or buffer?
That happened to the tile in my utility room also. I am going to try the muriatic acid Good Luck to you also Nesssssssssst
Q: I am completely re-doing one of the bathrooms in my home and I would like to put in a stand alone tile shower. Can someone tell me what the best material to use for it would be? Ceramic, porcelin, slate, travertine, marble?? Are any better for walls/floors/wet areas than others?
The tile isn't as important as what the tiles are mounted to. Make sure you use material specific for wet areas. as for which one to use, it would depend on which one you like, and can afford. I like the looks of bigger tiles, but would much rather install smaller tiles. Bigger tiles can be a pain when it comes to making difficult cuts.
Q: Also, formica or tile for a countertop???
either is fine, unless you bowl in your kitchen ceramic will hold up fine for normal wear and tear, the counter top is your choice, wich look do you like, im personally a tile person.
