Q: I have a friend who said alumimium is non manetic there fore it won't go off in a metal detectorand I'm like its still metal it WILL go offwo is rite here and is there really any metal out there that can't be detected by metal detectors???

Q: Compare the properties of the pure metal with the properties of the ionic compounds, which are a metal boned to a nonmetal.
Heavy metal - Judas Priest Thrash metal - Metallica Nu metal - Korn Goth metal - Moonspell Black metal - Bathory Groove metal - Pantera Death metal - Morbid Angel Alternative metal - Rage Against the Machine Progressive metal - Tool Rap metal - Limp Bizkit Sludge metal - Crowbar Power metal - Helloween Metalcore - As I Lay Dying Industrial metal - Nine Inch Nails
Q: I have to watch these videos of non identifiable substances and all it shows is it's Appearance, Malleability, Conductivity and reaction in water and acid. I don't know how I would know if these substances were non metal or metal? Any ideas?
Alkali metals only require losing one valence electron...alkaline earth metals need to lose two.
Q: Mine are (in order):1. Progressive metal2. Death metal (all sub-genres except deathcore and brutal death)3. Thrash metal4. Groove metal5. Power metalRock on #92;m/
Slipknot is labeled as Nu-Metal simply because it's mainstream and they sound mainstream. It's as simple as that. Nu-Metal is the combination of the grunge revolution and metal along with rap here and there. The main distinguishing factor is that often focus on the mood/texture and rhythm of the music instead of melody, which is common amongst most mainstream music. There's nothing wrong with listening to Nu-Metal, such as Slipknot, Korn, PapaRoach, Disturbed, etc. But most metal fans reject the genre because it doesn't follow the purist heavy metal formula and because most metal fans have taken pride in it being a semi-underground genre. I personally don't like Slipknot (Or most Nu-Metal), but listen to what you want and don't worry about labels.
Q: I love Metal......the Heavier the better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, Rust = oxidization, so the question should be what metals oxidize and that's most of them. But, to actually rust the metal has to contain iron, because iron oxidation is the process that creates rust and is unique to iron. That limits it to iron and its alloy (metal combined with other elements) steel. According to Wikipedia: Rust is a general term for a series of iron oxides, usually red oxides, formed by the reaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of water or air moisture. Several forms of rust are distinguishable visually and by spectroscopy, and form under different circumstances. Rust consists of hydrated iron(III) oxides Fe2O3·nH2O, iron(III) oxide-hydroxide (FeO(OH), Fe(OH)3. Rusting is the common term for corrosion of iron and its alloys, such as steel. Other metals undergo equivalent corrosion, but the resulting oxides are not commonly called rust. Given sufficient time, oxygen, and water, any iron mass eventually converts entirely to rust and disintegrates. The corrosion of aluminium is extremely slow because the resulting aluminium oxide forms a conformal coating, which protects the remaining aluminium. This process is known as passivation. Aluminum takes a long time to oxidize, copper takes on a green patina that stops it from further oxidization, other metals would eventually decay through oxidization, but only iron rusts. But even elements that we don't think of as metals oxidize like silicon.
Q: Electricity is defined the flow of electron. Then why the non metal do not conduct the electricity.
The reactivity of metals depends on the ease with which they lose electrons. The most reactive metal atoms (K, Na, Ca, ) lose electrons easily to form positive ions. Less reactive metals such as Cu and Ag do not lose electrons easily. In the reactions you are thinking about more reactive metals will displace less reactive metals from solutions of their salts because they are able to 'force' the less reactive metal ion to take electrons and the less reactive metals are displaced from teh solution eg Zn (s) + Cu2+(aq) ---> Zn2+(aq) + Cu Zn atoms give 2 electrons to Cu2+ ions
Q: Ok i understand that viking metal lyrics have to do with viking mythology and nature and the music looks like the folk metal but epic metal and viking metal are the same or what are the differences between these two??
Art Rock-David Bowie Southern Rock-Lynyrd Skynyrd Punk Rock-The Clash Folk Rock-Bob Dylan Power Metal-Helloween Thrash Metal-Metallica Hey Satanist *cough* Ozz *cough*
Q: this guy thinks all metal music is mainstream music and grunge is the best do u agree?
Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2) Metal Gear Portable Ops (PSP) Metal Gear (NES) Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake (NES) Metal Gear Solid 1 (PS1) Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
Q: my friend told me that metal music helps when you want your anger to come out in an explosion but I don't think that's it.
My top 15 1. W.A.S.P. (Traditional Heavy Metal) 2. Anthrax (Thrash Metal) 3. Megadeth (Thrash Metal) 4. Judas Priest (Traditional Heavy Metal) 5. Pantera (Groove Metal) 6. Slayer (Thrash Metal) 7.
