Q:How do cranes get put together?
Hey Sir Fing, While watching a skyscraper being built here in San Diego, I asked the same question. For the tallest buildings, it is built in to the building and when they are finished, the top portion is lowered down. For a smaller building, it is assembled and hoisted by... A larger crane! Interesting, isn't it? Great question! James in San Diego
Q:A Korean kid at my school made me one in a new kid meeting. Sadly, he made it with my hall pass that needs to be signed with the teacher that organized it. But when she had to sign it she ripped it up and he won't make me another one! How can i make one myself?
Google: oragami instructions.
Q:What did Stephen crane contribute to history?
I think his greatest contribution was The Red Badge of Courage. It was the most ealistic portrayal of a Civil War soldier written at the time; so real, in fact, that veterans swore the had fought alongside him during battle (Crane wasn't even alive during the war).
Q:A family of cranes are at my house they are attacking my ducks and im scared they will kill them
There is little you can do other than take steps necessary to protect your ducks and wait until the Cranes decide to move on. Or you can call you local wildlife organization and see if something can be done to relocate them by someone with a license to do so. Most Cranes are endangered and/or protected species. If you do anything at all to harrass or harm them, you will be breaking the law and could end up with a healthy fine, jail or both.
Q:I was just wondering this since I come from Northern Ireland and in Belfast I think they're probably the most prominent landmark but are they actually famous and if you saw them would you know where they were?
The cranes are iconic in Belfast and Northern Ireland. The company itself is most famously known for the building of the Titanic they also specialize in off-shore construction as well. I would say they are well known in Ireland and in some parts of the UK. They are probably known a bit in England as they were very interested in Belfast's heavy industry in the past. I don't think many people outside of Ireland and the UK would know about the Harland and Wolff cranes tbh. You can see them from many places in Belfast and they are a prominent landmark.
Q:What are the working mechanisms and safety devices of tower cranes?
About the structure: Tower cranes are all metal structures, so far there is no wood. About institutions: tower crane working mechanisms are: winding lifting mechanism; luffing mechanism; slewing mechanism; cart moving mechanism; lifting mechanism.
Q:what are the number meanings for paper cranes?
Hey Mary, Don't let the web site name fool you, it does discuss the deeper meaning behind paper cranes. Steeped in ancient myths and carrying resonant cultural meanings, the crane occupies a central role in the Asian imagination. Anyone who has witnessed cranes flying through the early morning mist over shimmering green rice paddies will readily understand how the mysterious beauty of the crane has captivated Asian life and art for centuries. Like the dragon, tiger, and phoenix, the crane ranks among the favorite motifs for Asian artwork because of its rich meaning and history. Read more at the web sites.
Q:I am making a crane(jib) whatever you call it and I have a concept for the crane itself but not for how I will actually move the camera. I heard wires work but I can not seem to grasp teh concept.* It is a heaver camera by the way*
On a real camera crane you would press the up and down button that moves the wrist part of it. ( I drove a forklift). If you are doing to yourself you'll have to rely on the elbow movements. I might think about renting a Genie lift. And letting someone be your hands in the thing. Unless you know how to build a fully articulating hydraulic ball-joint?
Q:crane:300t lift 100t pad sizes:4.5x2 mtrs.ground bearing capacity required?
This depends on the angle of the lift and the distance away from centre of the crane. With the lift at tipping range all 400t will be distributed along the outer half of the pad or on the extreme legs. Rule of thumb is all the load is placed under the one pad. so one pad is 9 sq metres and the load is 400 tonnes so the bearing capacity must exceeds 400/9 tonnes per square metre. 44.44444t/m^2
Q:I need the answer badly
The world would be a little less beautiful. The blue crane's role as a predator in its ecosystem would be left empty, allowing its former prey to breed without check until (hopefully) another predator moves in to pick up the slack. Otherwise the ecosystem will be out of balance.
