For example, I eat scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast with fresh tomatoes, or a lentil stew followed by fruit salad or an apple. This increases your chances of absorbing enough iron naturally without the complications of pills or shots. Also avoid tea near meals as it stops iron being absorbed. Good luck!
