- So, there is a huge misnomer that I haven't really seen addressed here. The risk is not when the pistol is sitting in your retention holster with coverage for your trigger guard. The risk is getting it in there and getting it out of there. When you are gripped up on the gun to get it into your holster or pull it out you've typically disengaged the grip safety. So, if you have typical trigger discipline, some of the time, particularly if you are under stress - or the aftermath of stress, your finger is sitting on the trigger, when it should be indexed and off. Generally, we aren't wearing holsters and are gunned up naked (well I'm not .. usually) so having clothes getting into your trigger guard is not uncommon and in many retention holsters there is some force you need to apply to get it into the holster. When you are coming out or going in the possibility of dropping or even tossing your pistol is non - zero. In fact, it's a LOT different from zero. If you had seen the number of experienced shooters that I've seen in competition trying to shave another half second off their draw toss their gun at the target because they weren't quite gripped up you'd be surprised. - Q:I've tried both steel and aluminum rivets but they easily popped out of the rubber, which I suppose makes sense since they're not meant for rubber. Are there any special rivets I can use for this scenario? Or any other means of connection? What I'm essentially making is a scale plating. - Sure,you will be wasting your time though.i doubt that is the reason you got fired.that was just the last straw.good hand washing is an amazing thing though.if your just a germaphobe then you should start carrying a box of gloves with you in your car.place a pair in your pocket.if you worked at a buffet u mean to tell me they had no gloves even in food prep areas.as a retired medical person i doubt that you even know how put on gloves and remove them without contamination.i don't even see surgeons do it correctly except sometimes on television.if you did sue all they would do is say they always have gloves available.why don't you spend all that extra time starting a lawsuit and find a better job and actually try and make it work this timeI hope all these suggestions and hints help you.good luck.

- If I was you I would take it out. I've had my nose pierced before, and I highly suggest you get it done by a professional. It would look better and the chances of infection would be lower. Doing the piercing yourself like that can lead to a pretty nasty mess. Imagine this: A large purple-red bump that looks suspiciously like a zit popping up next door to your new nose-ring. A blood blister. Not a pretty image. I'm going to guess you're pretty young aren't you? Eventually you're going to want to get a job, and it's difficult to get a job with a nose-ring. If you want to keep the piercing, then you're going to need a retainer to put in there. If you can't fit a regular sized nose stud in there, then you can't fit a retainer. So somewhere down the road you run a good chance of having to get rid of it after enduring all these hardships. So like I said, take it out. Let it heal up. Then, when you can, go and get it pierced by a professional. You'll be much happier with the results. (And there's tons of cute nose studs to put in!) If you refuse to take it out still, there are a few other ways to hide it. One that I know of is to cut a little piece of band-aid and place it over it. Or you can put concealer over it. And then one that I've heard of but haven't tried is to buy the largest size of fishing line at Wal-Mart, cut a piece just long enough to fit in your nose. Cut one end at a slant and then burn the other end so that it won't fall out of your nose. You can also use a retainer
