A disc lock is a theft deterrent device, not a theft preventive device; it's designed to make it too time-consuming and too much trouble to steal the bike, and it works. I would imagine that if someone saw you hacking away at the disc on a bike, the cops would be showing up pretty soon after that!

The electric impulse can be from a light fixture using a CFL or fluorescent tubes. These can trigger a smoke or CO2 device. The recommended distance from these fixtures is 3 feet but that does not always solve the problem. Average life on thes devices is 5 years. With all the above you can check for fluorescent interference, check the age ( there is a date code on each unit).

Q: what are safety general precaution hazard by electrical power electric circuits?: Generally the air coming out of those vents is just warm, you could hold your hand in front of it and not get burned, so it won't set your bed on fire. The only thing is, you might need to adjust where the bed is if it is one where the sheets/blankets come all the way to the floor, they might block the vent and prevent heat getting into the room if it is right over it.
