- Q: Just wondering. You know that traditional alarm sound? That almost screeching, whine noise? WHINE WHINE WHINE.. WHINE WHINE WHINE. It makes me want to pull my hair out, like scratching on a chalkboard. Thats how my old alarm used to sound, I recently got a new alarm and now its a smooth but loud ring. Its like the other alarm noise zapped my energy when it woke me up, but this one isn't so irritating and I can actually get up. Weird huh? Anone know what alarm I'm talking about or why it like zaps my energy. Lol. Weird question, sorry.
- The concept of a backup battery implies that the devices normally use the AC house current for their power, and the battery is only there in case you have a simultaneous fire and power outage. Devices that have backup batteries cannot run forever on them, and if the battery was almost dead, it would not last very long; possibly even sounding the low battery alarm immediately when the power goes out. Some devices, like CO detectors, are designed to start beeping when they've been operating for a number of years, and in that case it indicates it's time to buy a new one (CO detectors age; not sure about your smoke detector, but if that's what's happening, it's time to get some new ones.)
- Q: re melting plastic is not a good reason were to get the resin and how to mix it?
- clean up around the house and ask for money so like if you scrub and clean the toilet and shower-$10 or cleaning all the windows-$5 washing the cars-$10 vacuuming the sofa-$5 then you can also ask your neighbors and tell them you'll wash their cars or walk their dogs
- Q: Fire blanket, glass fiber asbestos, which is good?
- Glass fiber (formerly known as English: glass fiber or fiberglass) is a kind of excellent inorganic non-metallic materials, variety, has the advantages of good insulation, strong heat resistance, good corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, but the disadvantage is brittle, poor wear resistance.
- Q: Why do they give people a blanket in those crime scene or after a fire in movies/tv shows?
- He won't fire you. He'll decline your offer to work more hours. You have a good point but the laws are based on blanket statements, the law does not recognise individual circumstance.
- Q: I live in a 900 sqft home. I have had a mold issue in one bed room on all the leather in that room. I have central heat and air but righ now my house's humidity level is running between 50% to 67%. Should I get a humidifier are there any other suggestions?
- Since most of your shirts are girly, I wouldn't mess with them in case you want to go back to that style. For the same reason, I wouldn't rip your jeans. What you can do to try out the rocker look is to take a plain black knit top and cut some diagonal slits in it and then pin a couple of safety pins on one of the cuts like you're trying to hold the opening closed and not succeeding. Ha!! The other thing you can do is to wear a heavy black belt on your hips instead of at the waist and on top of a long fitted top. A black cuff bracelet with studs makes an instant rocker look and you can attach a plain open link silver chain necklace to the waist of your jeans. Attach one end and then about a foot away, attach the other end so it hangs down in a loop over one hip. This would be a substitute for the heavy belt option. You could also take one of your oldest plain hoodies and dye it black if you can't afford a new one or trade one of your hoodies with a friend who has a black one. Good luck!! : P
- Q: What are fire fighting equipment and how to use it correctly?
- Once the fire is out of control, you must first consider escaping. If you live on the 3 floor above the stairs, channel is blocked, if the family has a long thick rope, so the rope can be segmented knot, tied firmly on the object and then down the rope climbing, you can successfully escape.
- Q: Does anyone have any creative ideas or suggestions for a safety calendar? I need to draw a picture for one of the months/the cover. Thank you. (:
- There are no rules for this kind of thing; just common sense. I guess wear goggles. Don't wear gloves (they can get tangled in the drill..very nasty), Tie hair back.
- Q: where this lady got struck by lightening twice! like one week she got struck and then went to the hospital. and she had sum kind of damage, i couldnt really see the tv, i was just listening to it. then she went home and then the next week, got struck by lightening again! i was like dang. did yall see that?
- The quickest way to check is there is a short in the steering column wire harness would be to jump an external wire from ignition switch thru the firewall to the starter relay. Then try to start the car with the wheel in the normal position. If the car starts, you definitely have a short in the steering column harness. I would not try to identify the short source but would go to an after market retailer and purchase a new steering column wire harness. Most have plugs at both ends and can be changed out by removal of the steering wheel, disconnecting the harness at the wheel end, plug and tape the new harness to the disconnected existing harness, then from the engine compartment, use the existing wire harness to pull the new harness thru the steering column and firewall to the plug point in the engine compartment. Remove the tape, unplug the new harness from the old, unplug and remove the old harness, plug the newly pulled harness in at the engine compartment and steering wheel point reinstall the steering wheel and you should be good to go.
- Q: Looking for ideas for a formal outdoor fire pit and patio. Years ago my husband and I built a 25' x 25' stone patio with a sunken firepit in the middle (back yard). We loved that thing. We've now been in our new house for 8 years, and I want to build another one, approximately the same size - only thing different, is that we want the 'pit' to be above ground this time.Would like ideas on types of stone, layout, seating, landscaping around the area etc. You guys are great. Thanks.
- Well I certainly wouldn't let you in. I'm not quite that trusting of strangers, especially naked ones. Right after I got done laughing, I would hand a coat or something out the door to you, and offer to make a phone call for you.
- Q: ok, so i know overheating a colored glass bowl to the point that it boils the resin is bad. But how baad is it when you see that some of the paint is burnt as well :o?!
- The man may have had to give up some land for what is called public domain. Call City Hall, find out if this is the case. If the authorities took the land for the better of the public, or whatever, then he does not actually own , or have any right to it than anybody else. He might just be harassing, and know it. Find out, officially, who owns the road. Is there a county road sign there? It should be marked, but I think you want to use the road, so find out, for sure, who owns it.
