- Q: I am thinking of switching to cloth diapers and have looked at many different types. Do any of you mommies used the bumGenius ones? If so, do you get the nylon or polyester outing? Any other recommendations on cloth diapers would be good. I like the idea of the bumGenius ones b/c they are all-in-one. Thanks in advance!

- It won't shrink and the color won't run but if you want to keep the white really nice and white, I recommend Shout Color Catchers. It is a box of sheets (like dryer sheets) that you put in the wash and clothes never pick up colors from another garment. You can actually cut them in half to save cost. Any color that comes out in a wash load will be absorbed into the cloth. Have saved many items when inadvertently washed the something of another color that ran.
- Q: Using Castin Craft polyester resin on an idea. I made a 4 in diameter circle which is about 1/2 an inch thick. I put a lot of coloring into the resin (castin craft as well) to get a dark color and about 6 drops of catalyst. It‘s been sitting for almost an hour now and is still like liquid but everyone else has said it should be hard in 20 minutes. Did I use so much coloring that it‘s not going to harden? Took a lot of yellow to get it that perfect color orange. Any one else have experience with Castin Craft? This stuff wreaks! Dont wanna go in there and keep poking it to see if it‘s hardenes, anyone got an idea of about how long if it will harden?

- Since you're messy, your best bet will be the polyester. Poly washes up nicely usually needs no ironing. Cotton will wrinkle, shrink, stains are harder to get out.
- Q: I have all the patterns I need but wanted to know about fabrics. I found things online but they don‘t answer my question. I have a pair of workout like pants by abercrombie and they are made with 100% Polyester, would this fabric be best for an outer layer only with fleece being the inner layer? As for fleece, I have a few 100% fleece hoodies I can use but I have 2 that are 75% fleece and 25%Rayon how will this effect my diapers. What about nylon from the inside of a suit jacket I no longer wear? Could it be used in between 2 layers of fleece or only as an outer? I would like to try and get the most use out of fabrics I already have and recycle them.Thanks for your help.
- Personally I only use natural fibers such as cotton. I would recycle the fabrics you have into something else.

- Q: My top thread is skipping stitches, and the bobbin thread is snarling up badly. I have already tried adjusting the tension, cleaning out lint, and re-threading the machine. The problem has not gone away. The needle is fairly fresh and the packaging says it is for various fabric weights (so I‘m pretty sure that particular issue isn‘t my problem).I have a Janome Jem Gold 660, and I have been using it for 10 years without having this problem before. I‘d really rather not have to get a whole new sewing machine. Is there something else I‘m forgetting to do?
