Q:I recently ordered a jacket off of the internet and when it came, It had a ball point pen mark on it. I really like it and don‘t want to return it. It says that it is 100% polyester all over. I have tried wiping it with a white cloth, like it says, rubbing alchohal, like my mom suggested, and a product called Goof Off, none of which had any effect. I don‘t want to bleach it because it has some green, and it isn‘t supposed to be washed either. What do I do?
Spray the ink mark with hairspray, really saturate it. But be careful to place some plastic or wax paper beneath the fabric so it doesn't just bleed through to another layer. Let it soak for several minutes, then wash it. If some ink still shows, do NOT dry it yet! Treat it again, wash it again, and don't dry it until the stain is gone. Works every time.
Q:How do you plant turf insulation on the roof?
What else are you doing? There's a ZM99-01A17 reflective coating now. It's all settled directly
Q:We have a family heirloom crochet piece (large. almost 3 foot tall by 6 foot wide) and want to frame it so we can display it without worring about damage. My local frame shops say they cannot get archival quality matboard that wide so if they mount it there will be a noticable seem in the middle. So, I began researching and learned how to couch by sewing around the key points of the patterns and thought I‘d buy acid-free fade/bleed resistant cloth to sew to and mount that to a pieced together foamboard to have no seams. I have not been able to find such a fabric after nearly a month of searching. To make matters complicated, the room where we want to hang it has a burgandy color scheme, so we are looking for a burgandy fade/bleed resistant fabric. I am confident we can get the frame built and have a source for the uv blocking glass, however, I cannot find the fabric. Does such a thing exist or am I going down a wrong path? What should I do to preserve this and display it?
Phew! You're in for a project. A few of things that I want you to know: 1. Polyester fabric is a good choice because it seldom bleeds. However, I would wash it in warm water first to get all factory dust out of it and also to double-check that it will NOT bleed. 2. Never put glass directly on your antique cloth. It will cause the cloth to hold moisture and cause it to mold and/or rot. The real tragedy is that when it rots, you won't know it until you go to remove it from the frame/glass. At that point, it will fall apart in your hands. Make sure that whoever frames it for you has the piece recessed away from the glass at least 1/4, but ideally 1/2. 3. You are doing the right thing mounting the piece. DO NOT change a thing in that regard. For others who read this and want to know, plain cardboard is usually treated with pesticides and other chemicals so that when goods are stored in a warehouse, the boxes are resistant to pests of all kinds. These pesticides will bleed through your project. As the questioner has stated, key words are ACID FREE. I hope these answers help you.
Q:What better with gold color steel tile waterproof waterproof material?
The loose fasteners on the roof must be replaced or reinforced. For the base surface there is rust, need to polish rust, so as to show the quality of metal, and then besmear a layer of anticorrosive coating. For base oil, dust, water to clean.Make sure that the width of the waterproof layer and the width of the waterproof layer need to be cut and cut the polyester cloth of the corresponding width. The width of the waterproof layer, waterproof layer area of 0.01 square meters general screws (250px * 250px); the level of the lap width of 500px waterproof layer; the waterproof layer vertical lap width is 15 cm; the roof waterproof layer on both sides of the lap width is 20 cm, the width of the waterproof layer is best according to the peak height and roof tiles according to the construction requirements.
Q:Hi, I am planning to de-weed many flower beds in yard and cover with weed cloth. What kinds of experiences have you had and do you have any suggestions for best brands and how well it works. I used it once 5 years ago for a smaller area, and found that many weeds grow right thru it.??? Also, would it be possible to just use fabric I have bought to sew on and don‘t want any more ? Would this cause a problem ? Any landscapers/gardeners out there with some good insight ?
I used it once, and am still regretting it. You can't plant once it's down. The next year you can never find the same holes to use. The 3rd year it started to disintegrate, and I had more weeds than ever before, and I had to deal with the rotting screen. NOW, better late that never, I use Preen and mulch. Get your beds weed free, and spread Preen/directions on container. Spread your mulch, and spread Preen on the mulch. DONE! Preen lasts 6 months. Oh yeah, you may get 1 or 2 stubborn weeds, but that's all. If you haven't heard about it, Preen is a pre-emergent weed barrier. It just doesn't let the weed seeds germinate. In answer to you question regarding regular fabric, no, you can't use it. It will disintegrate even faster than the weed barrier. Just remember that once you spread your Preen there are no flower seeds that can germinate. You have to use plants. If you like it, put it in your vegetable garden, but not until all your lettuce, beets, etc. seeds have germinated.
Q:I am doing a little speaker project and i am gonna use fiberglass.though what do i use to keep the shape? like do i use the fiberglass cloth and stretch it in between the two points? and then apply resin? by the way i am kinda of a newbie at this. so do i buy fiberglass cloth and stretch it to the two points to create the shape, then apply the resin? thanks
You stretch the fleece(cloth) over the wood. After that you need to paint fiberglass resin on it. When it dries you start adding fiberglass mats then you paint more resin on it and add more fiberglass and continue the process untill you feel it is strong enough for what you are using it for. Youtube up how to fiberglass lots of information
Q:Lev.15:19- 24 states I am not allowed to have contact with a woman when she is in her time of menstral uncleanliness; however I cannot tell when a women is on her period and generally have to make assumptions depending on their mood. Would it be safer to just make all women currently on their period be required to wear a sign? I really do not want to offend God so I need some suggestions.
This was a law given to the Israelites in the old testament and was not meant for the rest of us .The law was for all bodily discharges not just menstrual blood . This had it's value other than religious as a very early form of disease prevention . Blood is still considered sacred and the Bible makes cautions about blood . Very interesting how that applies to the current times and policies about blood . Seems like there was a lot of foresight , and perhaps aids wouldn't have taken such root , if the Biblical laws had been followed regarding blood .
Q:It is a hole in the back like center in the back it burned through all the way to my skin. I had the jacket a shirt and a wife beater and it went all the way to my skin. How would i fix it or make it unnoticeable.
Squeaks and rattles are very tricky to locate! Look to the bushings. The sway bar bushings are most likely the culprit.
