- Q: i had heard online and from friends that forever 21 cloths shrink allot and to get a medium since i‘m a small. but o got a loose fitting shirt so i got it in small because the small was already very big. but when i got home i realized that i like it this big and don‘t want it to shrink anymore. the shirt is 65% polyester and 35% cotton, do you think it will shrink allot??/thanks :)
- It won't shrink at all if you follow the directions on the care tag
- Q: How to make color steel board room waterproof?
- Waterproof construction technology:The protrusion 1, metal roof (such as chimneys, vents, fan mouth etc.): cut the size and shape of a suitable sewing polyester cloth, and according to the technical requirements of cutting, the protrusion around is coated with a layer of base paint, cut good sewing polyester cloth on it, and then from above with the primary coating full infiltration sewing polyester cloth, ensure no foaming, wrinkle.2, in the well water treatment area with one or two layer top surface coating, coating the surface coating total rate of 35 square meters (two /20 l recommend brushing, keep the total coating rate unchanged).3. The coating rate of single layer coating is 40 M2 /20 litre, and the utilization ratio of stitched polyester fabric is 90%.
- Q: If I were to run around in a white fur coat indoors and out I would be filthy in a matter of hours not to mention the weeks between baths my dog gets. I‘ve had a couple of dogs with white fur and day to day activities don‘t ever seem to make it look dirty (there are of course the romps in mud that require an immediate bath -but that isn‘t what I‘m talking about). If anything I would expect their fur to get dirty quicker than our hair. But I couldn‘t go three days without a shampoo with out looking noticeably dirty, the dog can look clean for weeks!
- First of all, I haven't a clue how they really do it--nonetheless, the possibility caught my eye and mind so I thought I take a guess. 1. The first thing that crossed my mind was a fine coating of oil--something like ducks have to water proof their feathers so they don't soak up water. But that didn't make any sense. Any type of liquid or lotion would CAUSE dirt to stick. 2. The second thing to cross my mind was a little closer to my field of interest. Somesort of 'natural' low voltage static. You remember that type of cloth, (I don't remember if it was polyester) that would cause both water and dust to repell from it's surface? This is the direction I'm going with this answer. That cloth had somesort of natural static charge causing this. It is therefore my bottom line OPINION--somekind of natural low voltage static charge is causing this. (Wouldn't it be nice if humans had skin like that!) The way to test this is by petting the pooch lightly--did you feel or hear the static sparks? Sorry I couldn't be of futher help. BYE!
- Q: I know fabrics like Microfleece, polyester and Suedecloth work best for keeping baby dry, but I‘m afraid they might be processed with a lot of chemicals (can‘t find anything about it online). So how about Organic cotton or hemp or bambooanyone know how well those kinds of diapers work. I know cotton stays wet against baby‘s skin, and I‘m afraid to use it for overnight. Any eco-friendly and baby friendly suggestions on good brands?
- I was going to go the cloth route and read a lot of good things about bumGenius brand of cloth diapers. I also had seen few mothers use them on their older babies so they must work or they would have given up. I am using Nature Babycare disposable diapers- their tag line is go green without giving up performance. I love them- they maybe a good alternative for you while out and about as I know a lot of mothers who use cloth diapers will use disposable nappys whilst out and about. The disposable nappy I use are Natures Babycare: Per the website Your Baby’s Wellbeing When it comes to your baby’s wellbeing you have a choice. A choice between environmentally friendly nappies based on natural materials that provide superior performance and are gentle on your baby, or your everyday run-of-the-mill nappy so often based on petrochemicals. That’s why our nappies are: * 100% chlorine free * Based on biodegradable materials with a biodegradable back sheet * 100% GM free *LOL Poster below- do some research on the nappys I am talking about before you get cheeky
- Q: I‘m allergic to cotton. It gives me hives if it touches my skin. I get hives just from touching money (because apparently is made with rag paper that is made with scraps of cloth).Jeans and most T shirts are out. What can a teenage male wear that they can buy at a normal store, which contains NO cotton and doesn‘t look dorky? My Dad tried to send me to school with a polyester leisure suit, but I look ridiculous.
- Sports stuff that has no Cotton in it but i don't see this as a good permanent fix because how will you take a girls shirt off or come in contact with other human beings that are wearing shirts.
- Q: How do you unwrinkle 100% polyester bridal gown?
- Hang it on the back of the bathroom door and close the door. Turn on the shower and get it really steamy in the bathroom. Gently smooth out the wrinkles with your hand by rubbing down the gown. For tougher wrinkles, you might need to take a very clean dry cloth and rub the wrinkles smooth. I know it sounds odd, but it worked for me. I had to pack my wedding gown in my carry-on bag on the plane. When I took it out, it was wrinkled and in a hotel, I didn't have many options. A maid told me to do this and it worked great. Didn't really take that long either. Hope it helps.
- Q: i‘m bent on cloth diapering, have about a dozen fleece contours (med i think), half dozen small fitteds, half dozen thick fleece doublers, 2 dozen thin fleece liners, one med cover, 2 small covers, 3 one-size pockets, 1 small pocket.i *think* i‘m going to like the Bum Genius one size pocket diapers the best but that will depend on how they end up fitting!anyhow, i know i need to get more, but do i have enough to start out?? also, should i get anything else? do you have any other tips?i‘m sure i‘ll get the hang of it, but i want to be *completely* prepared for the first couple weeks of diapering at least. thanks a bunch!!
- I think you will have enough, going from experience (I have 4 children) your baby will probably go through at least a dozen nappies in a 24 hour period, especially if you are breast feeding. Get that nappy bucket happening and plenty of Napisan and of course a good reliable washing machine. Good luck )
- Q: I wanted to switch my daughter to cloth diapers, but now Im not so sure thats a good idea. I want to knowwhat are disposable diapers made of as far as the part that touches their skin. And since my daughter has eczema, is it a bad idea to use cloth diapers made of polyester inside on her since I read that polyester is irritating? Any mothers of babies with eczema use cloth diapers? Any experience in this area? THANKS!
- If your child has eczema in the diaper area this is know as diaper dermatitis, and there is no one concrete solution to this. Because eczema is chronic and only with time will go away. What you can do to alleviate and better that area, is twice/day leave your child without any diaper or coverage on the area(so that the skin may breathe). As well as stop using wipes to clean the area, instead use water to clean the diaper area whenever you need to change the diaper. My child is 18 months old and he has diaper dermatitis as well as eczema all over the rest of his body. Hope this helps
- Q: So I'm going for a truly economic Christmas this year and wanted to make my mum some handmade patchwork oven gloves, but I wasn't sure about stuffing and then I saw the tumble dryer fluff in a pile on the counter top and thought. hmm maybe I can use that.Would this be a clever idea or is it going to be problematic?
- The problem with this is that you don't know what the fibers are made of. If they are cotton, it would probably be fine, but if they are synthetic they might not insulate well. They could even melt, which would be scary and/or painful. I think for a project that will be exposed to heat you would be better off buying batting so you know its qualities. I think for a different project, such as a pin cushion, it would be fine. Dryer lint was recommended to me as a stuffing for a pin cushion project.
