- the Berzerker are Industrial Death Metal, while some of their their music is a **** to play (like downpicking massacre - fun), they aren't really a technical death metal band. check out Psycroptic. - The term nu-metal was, as someone else mentioned, a term conjured up by the media in order to help popularize the sales of metal albums. In reality, nu-metal is (or rather, was) properly known as aggro rock. It does have elements of metal, but that's mixed in with countless other influences, which can include genres like grunge, alternative, hip-hop, punk/hardcore, post-punk/post-hardcore, etc. It's pretty much a cesspool of genres, and metal only makes up a small portion of it. So yes, metal influences do exist within the genre; they are just not dominant.

- Isn't it corpse paint and rawness some do it well some sound so bad that the very first recording ever sounds better its so wasteful. CC (new cd as good as ever), Morbid Angel (new album is arrive sometime soon great!), and Carcass (who knows about a new album but they been touring) they are death metal. Not many good Blackmetal out anymore like Darkthrone which is a must as they been around forever also the Storm project Mutiilation is sorta well known but limited then I kinda listen to some new stuff like Kult Ov Azazel. I don't just listen to just metal.
