Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q:I need an IC (integrated circuit) with this part number: hb6433308cp.This IC is used in monitors of Komatsu excavators.another question is that if anyone can help me to find the program of this IC.Thanks in advance
Are you positive about that part number? I can't find it on the Net or in the Allied Electronics catalog. AE usually has just about every IC that exists.
Q:What machine/or tool can my boss rent to remove desert shrubs quickly and efficiently?
a 4x4 truck with a winch or a long chain
Q:I would really appreciate if the answer made sense :)
If your asking how to operate, don't be afraid to start pulling and pushing levers slowly to see what lever moves what, every experienced operator has to do this when they get on a new piece of equipment.
Q:1.The city of Centerville plans to dig a rectangular landfill. The landfill will have a base with dimensions 700ft by 200ft and a depth of 85ft.A)how many cubic feet of garbage will the landfill hold?C)what info do you need to determine how long the landfill can be used until it is full?D) Centerville hires an excavator to dig the hole for the landfill. How many cubic yards of dirt will he have to haul away?
A) 700 x 200 x 85 = 11,900,000 cubic feet B) Did You Forget Part B?? C) At what rate the landfill will fill up.... D) 11,900,000 cubic feet = 440,741 cubic yards ...... 3 feet = 1 yard or 27 cubic feet = 1 cubic yard
Q:I have a Kobelco Excavator with a Mitsubishi Diesel engine. With the serial number 6d15-547647. I need to know the turbo serial number, is there any way of getting this?
ask your local Kobelco dealer, they will know for sure
Q:Can somebody tell the average diesel consumption of the following: a. Excavator CAT 330BL, b. Wheel loader / Shovel 996F, c. Grader CAT 14G H, d. Roller Compactor 10 ton DYNAPAC, e. Dump Truck 18 cu.m.
There is no average> It depends if the EG is being worked or not> And when the operator is running it is he working it to max> They use a lot of fuel> so have a lot on site for refills> Ot the job stops??
Q:I am failing math and I need help? Solve this equation:The city of Rubberville plans to dig a rectangular landfill. The landfill will have a base with dimensions 700 feet by 200 feet and a depth of 85 feet.A.)An excavator was hired to dig the hole for the landfill. How many cubic yards of dirt will he have to haul away?
l=700 feet=233.33yards b=200 feet=66.67yards h=85 feet=28.33yards Dirt removed = volume of the landfill. = l*b*h =233.33yards*66.67yards*28.33yards =440704.627463 cubic yard
Q:Im 17 years old and im looking for employment just somewhere simple that any kid in highschool would work.this is the first resume i've ever written and i was just looking for some feedback and advice for areas of improvement. basically what i want to know is if you were a hiring manager and you looked over my resume would you call me in for an interview?
It's a really good start, but I would make a few suggestions: 1) You don't need to list references on a resume; take them to the interview and provide them if you are asked for them. 2) You have a lot of information on here; most hiring managers will not spend a lot of time looking at your resume so less is more provided you effectively highlight your skills. Make sure it fits on one page. I would probably leave out the activities and interests section entirely or cut it down to no more that 3 or 4 bullet points. Likewise, your volunteer experience and honors sections should be cut down significantly or you could list a variety of volunteer experience as one bullet point under the heading summary of qualifications. 3) Finally, I would change your objective statement to say, Pursue entry level employment in culinary arts, retail, customer service OR business management (although you should obviously make OR lowercase). You should say or instead of and because I'm assuming you want a job in one of these fields, not all of them at the same time. :-) Good luck!
Q:Please Don't Write Long Answers , I'm a 14 year Old Girl , Who Needs Help With Her Homework!A. How Is Iron Mined?B.How Much Is Produced from it and what?C.How long will it last?D.What is it used for?E. The Economic Cost Of Mining It And Producing Its Processed Goods?F.The Enviromental Costs quot; quot; G.What Educational And Career Opportunities Could Be Developed Using Iron?H. What entrepreneurial opportunities quot; quot;_Please and Thank uu !!
A. Iron ore is generally mined from huge open pit mines using explosives, huge excavators huge dumper trucks. B. Haematite is the main iron ore produced (Fe2O3) which is easier to process than the higher iron content, magnetite (Fe3O4). Production in 2011 was estimated to have been 2,800 million tonnes. As yet unused resources are estimated to exceed 800 billion tonnes of iron ore. C. There are vast resources of iron ore particularly in Africa and Latin America which remain unexploited. D. Iron ore is used to make iron which in turn is alloyed with small quantities of other metals, in particular nickel, chromium and molybdenum to make different types of STEEL. Steel is primarily used for providing the strength in high rise building construction but is also used in motor car manufacture many other engineering applications. E. Iron ore deposits have to be very large in order to be worth mining so as to reduce the unit cost to as low as possible. F. In order to transport such vaste amounts of iron ore, from the mine to a deep water port, railways are generally constructed. At the port, the ore is transferred onto ships which then take the iron ore to their destination country (generally China) where it is smelted into iron then made into steel. G. There is work for geologists to evaluate the iron ore deposits to ensure that they mined as efficiently as possible, for mining engineers, for dumper truck drivers, for all those involved with railway construction. There is also work for ships and for those working in the construction industry in China. H. Those seeking to explore mine iron deposits in Africa, those involved with railway construction.
Q:What type of co. should I ask to fill my in-ground pool with dirt ?
Take bids from ground excavators, or find someone doing grading that needs a place to haul their excess dirt. You can advertise in the local paper or put signs in your yard saying you wanting free fill dirt. (Make sure they will bring it to you) Papaw
