Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q:This ***** has ruined the whole state it is dying everyone is out of work. I have to live in IL and visit my home in Michigan just to have a job. Somebody tell me who voted again for her. I'm an excavator operator and I would love to bury her LOL
Jennifer Greenhorn is a lawyer who managed to out-talk a straight-talking businessman who might have actually pulled our state's economy of of the tank. Well... that and she kept on running against Bush for governor... not DeVos. Now hard-working people like me are out of a job because the woman can't get her act together. HEAR ME DEMOCRATS! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE OF YOUR ILK RUNS THINGS!!!
Q:General engineering excavator hourly fuel consumption and excavation amount is probably how much, there are people who know, please help, thank you
If you use some larger excavators, such as 220; 300; 350; 400; oil consumption and excavation volume have different degrees of improvement.
Q:Where can I find a coupon code for CAT Excavator
The okorder is only $65.99. This CATERPILLAR Excavator by Bruder, is just like the real thing! This very highly detailed excavator has a control handle that allows you to control the scoop, which lifts up and down for extra added play value. This toy also has realistic linked tracks. Dimensions: 22.8 X 7.9 X 11.4 Choking Hazard -
Q:what equipemnt and temporary works are used in bridge construction?
Equipment: Cranes, Excavators, Cement Mixers, Operatives Materials: Mainly Steel or reinforced concrete plus bridge finishes Temporary Works, Scaffold, Formwork, Falsework, Propping, Hard standings, Possible excavations, Water diversions or traffic diversions depends on type of bridge
Q:list 7 steps in parking a excavator
start it up/put the pto on/excavate hole/drive in and park
Q:Does anyone agree with me that the Loch Ness Monster was real at one time but died. The bones were buried under the sediment and could be found. If you have evidence to prove or disprove my theory please explain or provide a link.
i agree with you and i think there was a dinosaur kind of like him, so maybe one of those dinosaurs stayed alive and someone spotted him but he died when people started searching for him
Q:I was looking to build an underground shooting range, like extended off of my basement. How can I go about doing this? I need it to be big enough to fire weapons, but also completely quiet so the neighbors and my family won't be disturbed by the noise. I would love to be able to go down there whenever I wanted and shoot off a few rounds. How should I start doing this? I really don't care about getting building permits or anything, so I want to do this on my own rather than just hire a construction company. Thanks
When shooting pistols for practice, the target is typically placed at distances from as close as 7 feet to as far away as 75 feet. Shooting ranges are large enough to accomodate the area from the firing line to the target (including the back-stop) and the additional areas behind the firing line used for administrative logistical purposes. A building measuring 100 feet long by 100 feet wide could (theoretically) be constructed as a shooting range.
Q:A few months ago we had some excavation work done by a licensed and insured excavator in our back yard near the well about 15 feet or so. He removed a lot of ledge and tree stumps and buried them to level yard. With in a week we got a terrible odor and bacteria. We have treated the well twice and the bacteria keeps returning w/ awful smells and our water tests are all over the place. We had great drinking water prior to work done. Because the bacteria has returned once again the well may be damaged and we are looking into that now. If the well is damaged does his insurance cover our damages? How do we find out???
His insurance should cover any damages he caused. However, you will need to show that he actually DID cause the damage, if it exists. Right now, all you have is the fact that your well seemed to go bad shortly after the excavation work was done. That's not sufficient proof. You will somehow need to show that his mechanical actions caused this situation. It won't be easy.
Q:I am having a conversation over e-mail with a guy who says that Piltdown Man was being taught at the college level in the 1970's despite having been debunked 20 years earlier as a fraud. Is this true? Is there a good reason for it if it is? Can some one find me evidence of this?
Took Physical Anthropology in college in the 80's and it was discussed but only as one of many hoaxes attempted with some success and how it was debunked. I'm sure it's probably still being brought up in beginning Anthro classes
Q:I would like to demolish a small house and garage on my property and want to rent a excavator for the day. Is this something I could do myself? I live in Ma.
You will have to present a license in order to be able to rent one and if you are within city limits, you will be required to get a permit to do it legally. If you like in the country, you would still need a county permit, but you could chance it and not get one. But either way, you'll need a license to rent the machine. They may even require you attend a class before demolishing something of that size.
