Some medicines can interfere with test results. Drugs that can raise TIBC include fluorides and birth control pills. Drugs that can lower TIBC include ACTH and chloramphenicol. - It sounds like you have watter hammer. Probably the best way to cure this is to drain your home's plumbing system and when it is fully drained, re-open the main valve. What happened was probably the air chambers in your home's plumbing system have become watter logged, rendering them useless. This simple procedure should fix the problem. If this does not work, it's best to contact a plumber. Some homes were built without air chambers, and the plumber can install pressure arrestors which should control the problem. Chances are, this should not cost too much money. Hope this helps.
