Would it be just pay and go or do they need any information?: Yes Target does sell T-Mobile service with contracts and without contract (Prepaid). However they don't have a lot of phone selection. Your best bet would be at a T-Mobile store. If you want to activate your own line with a contract at Target then you would have to show them a driver license. They will do a credit check before activation. If you mother is the primary person and holder on the T-Mobile account then it is unlikely Target will sell you the phone and have it activated. The primary person needs to be present when they activate the 2nd line to the account. On prepaid phones with T-Mobile at Target you don't need to show any identification and you can purchase the prepaid phones there as well.

Even though they are pretty much the same company unfornately you still can't interchange the sim cards because of Nextel being programmed as a contract service and Boost is programmed as a prepaid service. Unlocking the phone has nothing to do with the sim card but with the Esn or Meid number which is found on the sticker underneath your battery on your phone. Some retailers will take that number and unlock it so that you can use that phone on any carrier that you wish but you have to find a company that will do that. Without the phone being unlocked you are stuck having to use the phone on the given carrier it belongs to. I hope this has helped and God Bless!

They do not cause damage to the phone. I've been using them for years and have never had anything happen to my phone. I even have one right now for my Samsung t629. The magnets are strong enough to hold the case closed, but not strong enough to do any damage to your phone. That shouldn't be powerful enough to do any damage, but I also don't see the point in having that on my phone. My case that I have for the phone I have now has 2 magnets in the flap that are about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. They are fairly good sized magnets and they don't do any damage.
