Q: is this fact true? - its a limitation to solar panels during summer when it's in extremly hot countrie. I've heard it from my science teacher .. please give detail if you have any and any more benefits/limitations is welcomed .. Thank you :) !
WHAT? This is far from the truth, IN Scottsdale Arizona a small apartment complex was fitted with solar {photo voltaic cells in the late 70s. Every summer they sold electricity back to the power company. It gets up to 5 fairly often here, and as hot as 23 in the shade. On a roof top it is over 50 in direct sunlight. The opposite is true. When it is cloudy they produce less electricity. They may loose some efficiency when it is very hot, but not enough to make them not work at all, or even enough to really harm the output to any really appreciable extent. A new plastic photovoltaic material that produces about 40-45% of a silicon based solar cell is a neat option as it works when it is very cloudy, you can drive nails through it, and it is flexible. I think these items are kept artificially expensive by big business, but this is just a biased opinion of mine, but as far as not working in extreme heat, NO these solar panels work just fine when it is hot. I am in Phoenix Arizona, and it does not get a whole lot hotter than here. If the cells from the 970s worked OK newer ones are better and will do just fine too. Solar hot water heaters are a slightly different matter as they will over heat the water and the water must be mixed with cooler water, or you can really get into trouble. Maybe this is what he meant. Still I doubt it is enough of an issue to cause the device to be less efficient than a gas water heater, or electric, etc. Maybe he is referring to having to mix cooler water into solar heated water in a solar hot water heater, or some other system, Photovoltaic cells do not have any problems rendering them useless from hot weather on this planet, and in fact, they are used in space and it gets much hotter there.
Q: i was looking into making solar panels to reduce my electric bill, but i need to know how to actually hook it up.
nowing what to do with unused renewable electricity is always a dilemma – hooking up to the grid has to be the preferred option. If your residential home is grid tied, i.e. connected the electricity grid as opposed to off-grid and you are using solar panels to generate electricity. Then it makes a lot of sense to hook your solar panels to the grid, because instead of losing the unused electricity or having to maintain a bank of deep cycle batteries, you simply feed it back to the grid. You feed electricity back to the grid via your electric meter which measures the electricity in Kilowatt per hour. This has the effect of reversing your meter which in turn reduces your electricity bills and if you are generating a lot of electricity you could find the utility company owing you money! The Solar Powered System Therefore, your solar powered installation would look like this. The solar panel will connect to an “array disconnect” – you need an array disconnect for system maintenance because it allows you to easily shut off the power. The array disconnect is connected to an “inverter”. The solar panel generates DC power and the electricity from the grid is AC power. Therefore, you need an inverter to convert DC power to AC power. The inverter is connected to an “AC breaker panel”. This is the interface where your solar generated electricity meets the electric meter and allows you to feed electricity back to the grid. Now in most countries and states you are not allowed to tamper with the electric meter so at this point you should contact your local electricity energy supplier and ask them to supply an engineer to hook you up to the grid. If you have anything to add to this article or you have connected your system to the grid – tell us how you did it by writing a comment below.
Q: How do solar panels affect the property's energy consumption?
Solar panels can significantly reduce a property's energy consumption by generating electricity from sunlight, thereby offsetting the need to draw power from the grid. This helps to lower utility bills and decrease reliance on fossil fuels, leading to both financial and environmental benefits.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on military installations?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on military installations. In fact, many military installations around the world have already embraced solar energy as a sustainable and cost-effective solution for meeting their power needs. Solar panels help reduce reliance on traditional energy sources, provide a more secure and resilient energy infrastructure, and contribute to the overall goal of creating a greener and more sustainable military.
Q: Also, what's the solar panel's rate of producing electricity?
Solar panels are not nearly as energy productive as natural gas. Case in point how many natural gas fired calculators do you have on your desk? or how many solar fired fireplaces do you know of? Solar panels are a great complement to natural gas/fossil fuel burning sources of fuel though. The more energy you consume from renewable sources of energy (i.e solar, wind, etc) the less you are consuming from non-renewable sources such as natural gas. Solar panel's rate of producing electricity depends on many different variables. Are the panels in direct sunlight? (with no trees or shrubs blocking the panels) There are panels out there made by Kyocera for example that are 85 watts, 65 watts, 50 watts. You should talk with a Professional about this. Look into Sun Electronics as I know that their website has a solar calculator and other helpful tools for interested parties. Good Luck
Q: I need to know how do solar panels work. I need to know what are they made of.
The term solar panel is best applied to a flat solar thermal collector, such as a solar hot water or air panel used to heat water, air, or otherwise collect solar thermal energy. But 'solar panel' may also refer to a photovoltaic module which is an assembly of solar cells used to generate electricity. In all cases, the panels are typically flat, and are available in various heights and widths.
Q: I am told there are night vision goggles to see at night due to invisible light still hitting earth. I am also told that there are other beams, x-rays etc hitting earth. Why couldn't they invent a solar panel with dual power in the day?It could harness both visible and invisible light, and at night be single?Anyone know why they can't make an invisible light solar panel? Is this possible? What happens if future cars have night vision windshields instead of lights?

Q: Would it be possible to use a lens or a mirror to focus light onto a solar panel in order to make in more efficient? And is something like this already being used? It was just a thought and I haven't spent much time on it, but I figured I'd ask.
yes it is being done. i've seen adds for such a system. on the other hand, if you had a 5 sq in Lens focused on a small cell, and a 5 sq in cell, they'd be about the same. in fact, the cell might be a bit better because (A) there wouldn't be any loss in the Lens, and (B) it might be that the solar cell would use some frequencies to which the Lens was opaque. in addition, the cost of solar cells is dropping, making the cost of the mirrors or lenses uneconomical by comparison.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on warehouses?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on warehouses. In fact, warehouses are ideal locations for solar panel installations due to their large roof spaces that can accommodate a significant number of panels. The ample sunlight exposure and lack of shading make warehouses a perfect fit for harnessing solar energy. Additionally, solar panels on warehouses can help reduce electricity costs and contribute to a greener, more sustainable energy source.
Q: I would like to know how much a solar panel would cost for a wingspan of 208 ft for a plane
2,000 that we have used 4 project , its based on the cell size
