- Q:I went online to check where was the pcv valve for a 2001 ford focus, but I didn't find it. Does anyone have a picture? Thanks

- Q:I have a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and I think I have the case of the blow-by. The engine had high mileage, but was rebuilt b/c it stalled while driving. 3.1L V6 gasoline engine. The fuel filter and the fuel pump are brand new. Now we have the same problem a few months later. It stalls while driving. Its been sitting a while and won't start by itself, so I pulled off the air intake hose off of the air filter to spray starting fluid into it. I noticed oil puddled in the air intake hose, so I looked for the PCV valve on the rocker cover. There is a tube going from the air-intake hose to the rocker cover. I popped out the tube from the rocker cover and there is no PCV valve. Just tube. Is that where the PCV valve is supposed to go? If not, where can I find it on the engine? And could that possibly fix the blow-by and the stalling engine? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

- Hi There I installed a valve with a t-type handle for my refrigerator's ice maker. This is a saddle type valve which is place on a water line and taps into the water inlet . It has a piece of rubber around the needle valve so it will not leak. If there is no plastic or copper line protruding from the line then it should lead to an ice maker. Now I have seen the same type of valve which was placed on the water line and then hooked up to the dishwater. Either way don't mess with it unless it leaks... Why the pipe it is attached too will have to be replaced. Been there done that check out the two links below

Sitting 4 years will not cause valves to stick usually, because there is always some oil leakage from the head, that prevents rust. How do you know the valve is stuck? Have you done a compression test, checked the valve clearance? When you say you take a wrench to manually unstick it, it would help to know what you mean, because there is no place to put a wrench that would help unstick a valve that was stuck. You need to tell us much more.
