If you wash it in sea-salt and warm water once a day it should be almost totally healed in 8 weeks, which is still about two weeks away if you got it on the 16th Feb. Even then for the first 6 months or so it'll close pretty quickly (not in like an hour or anything, but it could get tighter in as little as 3 or 4 hours), so you should try to leave it in all the time for that 6 month period.

Also my ear still stings is that normal?Thanks in advance: There are a lot of viruses/allergies/sinuses going around right now, and I would say that the swollen glands aren't from the piercing, but it could very well be a lymph node in your neck with a collection of white blood cells grouping together to go fight the bacteria possibly from the piercing. And the stinging is fine, mine hurt for a really long time after I got it. Actually it still hurts quite often. But just keep applying the sea salt mixture three times daily and you should be healed up in no time! (:

Q:im asking this because when i get back to school in september i will probably need to take it out for PE once a week in the mornings if thats possible, i cant tell my teacher that i cant do PE because if they found out i had the piercing they wold ask me to take it out as its school rules to not have any piercing other than the lobes.so should i even get it, i really want it.: 3 months to a year. Go for it! I got mine last week. let me tell you, everyone is lying when they say it hurts. It'll hurt a little more than your lobes, but not much.
