- Q: the piercing i want is the double cartilage. people call them different things, but the most common (i guess) is scaffold. my uncle said that after its in your ear a long time the weight from the bar weighs down your ear and the cartilage gets weak and kinda is like bent. has this happend to anyone? or is he lying? cam it happen?
- The barbell is very light and hollow, so I doubt that'll happen. Perhaps in rare cases where the piercing has already damaged the cartilage somehow. Cartilage is strong enough to hold up an industrial barbell. Your uncle might be trying to scare you if he doesn't approve of you getting an industrial, but don't ignore him completely since he's just trying to watch out for you.
- Q: Ok so i got a scaffold ear piercing about 6 weeks ago and by the two holes where it has been pierced its gone like lumpy an also at the top end of the piercing some skin has come down streched sort of so does anyone know if it will properly heal and the lumps go or does it stay like that? an is there anythin i can do to help it?
- I used to have a scaffolding piercing but it didn't work out and now I have little bumps at where the 2 holes were. I recommend going to the doctors just to be safe as they will be able to give the best advice, I don't think you would want to end up with bumps on yours like mine. I hope this helps :)

- Depends on where you live- I live in Michigan and the tattoo parlors around here are $25.00 for all peircings above the waist. I dont think Ive seen anywhere for more than that. - It all depends on where you go. They can range between 25-35 dollars. Just remember to relax and eat a good meal before you go. Healing takes around 6 months to a year. Your piercer will instruct you on how to care for it. Always ask your piercer any and all questions you have.

- an industrial and a scaffold are the same thing, why would they allow it to one name of it but not the other, and most piercings you have to be 18+ to get, and some you can get at 16, very few you can get any younger than that
