Q: im in the process of buying carpet for 2 bedrooms and hardwood for the hall and stairs. what questions should i ask the companies. i already about about install fees, haul-away fees, shoe molding (which should be wood, right?), and what they will use for transition. but what about padding? am i missing anything??? please help.thanks: There are 2 types of padding in foam. One is solid and the other is pieces recycled and glued together called re-bond. Both have good qualities, but the thickness of the pad can make a carpet feel plush and comfortable or firm like a pool table. The thicker the padding the softer the feel, like a mattress.

You got a couple of options; You can take it outside and hose it down with the water hose and let it dry, it will dry faster if you drape it over a fence or car or picnic table. Or you can get carpet cleaners like Resolve in any store, I have used the one a dollar tree and I think it works just as well, Id vacuume it as well as I could first, spray foam either all over or just on the spot and rub a wet wash cloth or rag or sponge over it until it comes clean. Its alot cheaper and faster than professionals. But if you want to you probably could get a company to come out and steam clean it on your floor for about $99.00.

Q: I have carpet in the backyard and my dogs have urinated on it badly an i was wondering if i put very little bleach in a spray bottle and sprayed it on the carpet would it change the color of the carpet?: yes you can use bleach mixed with water without changing the colour just dont use to much be carefull might irriate the dogs skin you must rinse after

Q: I've found some rugs that I like but they are all too small like only 2X3' Can anyone help me find any bigger rugs like 5X4' or something around that? thanks!: Rugs that are polypropylene are indoor/outdoor rugs that if purchased at the right place will be soft to the touch and offer the ability to just take them outside and hose them down to clean. They are offered in all styles from traditional to contemporary. Look at Frontgate, Grandinroad and Home Decorators for starters. They are much, much less expensive than standard rug fabrics and are beautiful. They come in all sizes. I picked up a 5x5 round for $99.00 from Frontgate. That is not possible in regular rugs.

Q: I am planning to rent Rug Doctor Pro from home depot. It says its a carpet cleaner. Someone told it's not steam cleaning. Whats the difference ? Should I just go with the carpet cleaning ?: It is not steam cleaning. Its just normal carpet cleaning. Steam cleaning would be using only steam like an iron steam to get the wrinkles out. Our water in our commerical truck is 200 deg. Just use hot water.
