Q: Iron too heavy for Ulysses but if there was any iron used id imagine it was steel. Can steel go deeper into sun than iron? Compare two bolts.. 1steel 1iron..is there a difference to what the steel can do?
Dont understand are you going to put them in sun ? Sun made from gas wich is on fire. Its impossible to get to the sun and not to get burn. Steel is really more solid and strong than iron so its more hard to break it or to bend. But in camparing of fusion temperature - iron is a bit more better, though it would not make a big difference .From metals - tungsten has the highest fusion temperature - near to 3400 C . Iron is near to 1530 C, steel is near to 1300 -1500 C. So according to this tungsten can go most close to sun. Right near the sun temperature is millions of degrees so anything will fuse and burn there.
Q: Where can you buy a steel polearm in a shop or if someone has a file in Scania than can you sell me one ill buy it for 150k my account is tonypark500
you can buy it at the free market, but they worth more than 150k they sell for about 1m so good luck with getting polearm.
Q: How are steel coils used in the manufacturing of automotive bodies?
Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of automotive bodies as they are transformed into sheets which are then stamped and formed into various components such as body panels, frames, and structural reinforcements. These coils provide the necessary strength and durability required for the construction of car bodies, ensuring safety and stability on the road.
Q: pros and cons of stainless steel and carbon steel swords
Well generally Stainless steel blades are machine made and are of a display quality.. so expect looks, but don't expect quality or functionality from one. From carbon steel, I'd say you'd be looking at swords for practitioners of a sword art, reenactment, and collector quality blades. Stainless Steel Pros: Good for short blades like kitchen knives, cheap, won't easily rust or corrode. Cons: Long blades like swords become increasingly brittle and can snap with light use, most lack actual tangs(part of the blade that keeps the blade in the handle.) and are just welded onto a wire that[if broken} will send the blade out like a missile when swung, these are cheap display quality only. Carbon Steel Pros: Are usually much stronger and of a higher quality than their stainless counterparts, are often handmade by professional sword-smiths, no two blades are alike, fully functional work of art. Cons: Requires responsible care and maintenance, will corrode and rust easier, can be much more expensive.
Q: Eutectoid Steel
Eutectic steel is used to produce pearlite, bainite, spheroidite and martensite steels. Those steels vary in strength, hardness and ductility. One uses martensite steel for example in razor blade manufacturing. Of course there is no end to the various uses of these steels.
Q: How do steel coils contribute to the manufacturing of appliances?
Steel coils are used in the manufacturing of appliances as they serve as a primary raw material for various components such as frames, panels, and structures. These coils are processed and shaped into different forms to meet the specific requirements of different appliances. Additionally, steel coils provide durability, strength, and corrosion resistance to appliances, ensuring their long lifespan and high-quality performance.
Q: ive made lots of knives but they are dark and not shiny. how do i polish a knife and make it shiny
If the steel knife is dark and not mirror-shiny, then it is probably carbon steel and not stainless steel. If they are carbon steel, then you cannot polish it to a mirror finish - sorry. If there's any rust on them, you can use a very-fine grit sandpaper to remove. Do not put carbon steel knives in the dishwasher, and dry them thoroughly after hand-washing. For long-term storage (meaning you don't plan to use the knife within the next few weeks), wipe the blade a bit with some mineral oil, then store the blade portion of the knife in a plastic bag.
Q: What are the different types of steel coil surface finishes for aesthetics?
For aesthetic purposes, steel coil surface finishes come in various types. These finishes are applied to the steel coil surface to improve its appearance and achieve the desired aesthetic appeal. Some popular steel coil surface finishes are: 1. Polished Finish: Achieved by using abrasive materials, this finish creates a smooth and reflective surface on the steel coil. Different levels of polishing can further enhance its high-gloss appearance. 2. Satin Finish: Also known as brushed finish, this type of surface finish involves using fine abrasives to achieve a soft and matte appearance on the steel coil. It provides a subtle sheen and a textured effect. 3. Etched Finish: This finish involves a chemical process to create patterns or designs on the steel coil surface. It is commonly used for architectural applications, as it allows for intricate and decorative designs. 4. Embossed Finish: By pressing or stamping a pattern onto the steel coil surface, this finish creates a raised design that adds texture and visual interest. 5. Powder Coated Finish: A dry powder is applied to the steel coil and then heated, resulting in a protective and decorative coating. Available in a wide range of colors, it provides a durable and vibrant finish. 6. Painted Finish: This finish involves applying a layer of paint to the steel coil surface. It allows for customization in terms of color and provides protection against corrosion and environmental factors. These examples highlight the different steel coil surface finishes available for aesthetic purposes. Each finish offers a unique appearance and can be selected based on personal preferences and project requirements.
Q: who, when and where was dual phase steel invented?
Dual Phase steels refers to a distinct group of alloys which are used for automotive bodies. These were developed to give improved deep drawing (for shaping) and strength while on the road. Most of the work was started at the same time in the 1970s as a response to the oil crisis (history repeats!) with SSAB in Europe, US Steel and British Steel leading the way. There are many variants of the dual phase alloys prefered by each of the auto manufacturers. The work on these steels led the way for TRIP (transformation induced plasticity) steels, rephosphorised steels and HSLA (high strength low alloy) steels. There is a distinction between these steels and duplex steels which typically refer to austenitic/ferrtic stainless steels. Also be aware that everyday low carbon steels with 0.1%-0.6% carbon will have a ferritic/pearlitic structure but are not considered to be dual phase So to summarise: Who - major steel companies worldwide When - from about 1973 onwards (up to around 1977 when the developments went in other directions) Where - Europe, USA and Japan (but I'm not sure who it was in Japan doing the work)
Q: I would like to build steel galvanization plant.
That's depending on what type of metal you want to cover the steel parts in the galvanization process. The galvanization in words refers only to that kind of process which is using electric deposition of a metal through a bath of a electrolyte from a plate containing pure metal needing to be deposed on steel tide at the anode electrode or + polarity and at the other side (other electrode, cathode or - polarity). There needs to be a certain recipe of mixed salts for creating very tight and uniform growth crystals, for not being corroded or leafed away with time. There are certain salts which provide this king of growing in the same time with the polished look of the piece galvanized. This salts can be dissolved in water, for creating the electrolyte or being melt (which is not so safe technique) and used and kept like that. The dipping is no so used any more and it can not be called galvanization. More recent techniques use hot plasma blowers, meaning a torch with plasma and a wire of the specific metal to be deposited being melt in the plasma and blown to the surface of the steel part. Anything you'll do you have to deal with the local Environmental Agencies and with the tap water supply/ sewerage administrator, because you;ll have to make a contract with them for you to show that you retain the hard metals from the water dropped to sewerage, if any.
