Maintainance guide:
Make sure that you regulaly clean the wood floors in order to prevent dust accumulation. We recommand to clean a small part
of stains as a testing ground to prevent too much chromatic aberration.
Dust and stain— use a hard brush dipped in warm soapy water to remove it.
Mildew— scrub with ordinary wood mode class agents, or bleach to rinse or wipe it directly.
Chalk stains—In addition to the while chalk, other colors can not be removed, you can use bleaching agent with hot soapy
water to wash it.
Ice or snow—Apply calcium chloride or rock salt, it can melt ice or snow, then use hot soapy water to wash it.
Stain soil and dirts— Apply detergent, which contains oxalic acid or phosphoric acid. Whiping the stain for 10-15 mins.
Greasy and oil-based stains—immediately use household cleaning products with hot soapy water to wash it.
Juice and wine stains—Mixed the bleach stain agent and hot soapy water to dilute the stain and wipe.
Warranty: Limited Residential Warranty against rot, decay, splitting, checking, splintering, or termite damage for a period

- Q: How can I cover a slate floor with carpeting.
- You poor thing. That stuff was the biggest mistake of the sixties. You need to remove it and replace it with plywood and carpet over that. Sorry.
- Q: The flooring was put in yesterday (they call it "floating floor" laminate) and as we walked on it last night we notice that some of the boards creak and groan. I know that traditional hardwood flooring does that when it gets older, but is laminate supposed to? Because if it's not, LOL - we need to get them back out here! Thanks.
- its not suppose to squeak. thats why people get laminate flooring, not real wood flooring
- Q: in 2002 the old owners of our house had a linoleum floor put down by professionals. it's the linoleum square type, not sure exactly what they are, it's supposed to look "vintage". the old owners told me it's put over 2 1/4" heart of pine floors. (yeah, why??) we'd like to see if we can salvage the wood floors underneath. help!?! (we would prefer to do the work ourselves...)
- Lay whatever kind of heat you can on top to soften the adhesive and release the tiles so you can pull them up. After that, you may have to do some heavy scraping. I've done that and it isn't pleasant, but it eventually gets what you want. A good solid scraping tool and a heat gun are good tools to have. A propane torch with a flame spreader tip works good, but don't go wild with the flame. You only want to soften things, not bubble up the adhesive and light the fumes.
- Q: Hi im trying to renovate my bathroom ,but im trying not to put that 1/4 inch cement floor to put the tile on cause its going to be biger than the living room floor is there anything else i can use that can be smaller than 1/4 inch floor board.i know theres like a thin membrain like paper or something ...please help
- Our tile is on plywood, which is screwed into the sub-floor.. and I know that comes in different heights. I dont think you need cement board for the floor ...just for around the bathtub and/or shower area.

- the floor is my dance studio is a sprung floor with tough laminate over the top.no you can't buy it cheap as you have to get your floor sprung.laminate flooring is similar but as it is not sprung if overused you may give yourself shin splints.the flooring shop locally just buy a scratch resistant one. hope i helped god luck with that victoria xx
- Q: Hi,I am puzzled a little bit. I always thought that the expression FLOOR can have many meanings (like carpet, hardwood flooring, other kinds of flooring, tiles...). However I found out that the word floor is used only for hardwood flooring, vinyl flooring and other types of flooring. Therefore I would like to ask, which expression represents all those words including carpet and tiles. I was not able to find that word using google, so I am trying it here. :-) Will be thankful.

- Q: We have just bought a house with tile floors. They are 12x12 tiles and are very textured, (groves all over them, that a can get clean). Does anyone one have any ways of cleaning them. I was using bleach water, but I am pregnant and smelling bleach has already sent me to the hospital once. So I need something else that will clean them.Please give me some ideas, on what I can do to cut down on my floor cleaning time.Thanks for all your help!
- The best thing for tiled floors is a good mop and boiling hot water. The tiles will dry very quick & leave no streaks. Then you can add a small amout of any floor cleaner and do the same again. as as you have just moved in , sure it might take a few washes to get them how you won?t them. I have ceramic and marble tiles all over my house. I normally just use boiling water and no detergents. Bleach will only fade the color of the tiles. Congratulations & good luck , hope all goes well.
