Q: i tried using 1800-reverse on my mobile hone today because i had no credit and it didn't work, when i got home i tried on my LAN-phone and it worked. i live in south Australia, is there a different number for mobiles?
it depends on how responsible the child is. If they are forgetful or irresponsible than no way. It is a good thing to keep tabs on them at all times though but keep in mind they won't answer it half of the time! It depends if they are responsible enough not to raise the minutes through the roff or constantly text other kids!! I made a huge mistake with my step-son at 15!!!! get a pre-pay phone!!!! If he runs out of minutes then oh well wait until you get more!! My bill was through the roof!!!!
Q: I have a metro pcs phone but like virgin mobile service better
No, it cannot. Even if you completely flash and reprogram it to Virgin Mobile, Virgin Mobile will not allow you to activate it. I have tried using non-Virgin Mobile phones on Virgin Mobile, and they always tell me that they simply cannot activate an ESN that their system does not recognize as a Virgin Mobile phone. There are ways to change your ESN to that of a Virgin Mobile phone, but they are illegal. Don't do it. Just buy a Virgin Mobile phone, they're not very expensive. Maybe you can post on craigslist that you need a Virgin Mobile phone and someone will trade you phones. Sorry for the bad news!
Q: I want to use my mobile phone to make a purchase using my credit card on a mobile website. I trust the website itself. However, should I trust the WAP technology? How likely is it (from a security pespective) that someone could steal my private information?
Be VERY careful when providing credit card info, whether it is on the net or phone. Yes there are security concerns when using a mobile phone. Anyone within range can use several ways to pick your info right out of the air. If this website has an alternative way to submit on a computer, make sure that the URL starts with
Q: I have an old mobile phone Nokia 3120 (the 1st series of Nokia model/phones as in super old) I want to extract ALL the SMS messages received and sent messages especially the DELETED received sent ones, do you know any mobile phone software I can use to extract ALL the SMS messages in my phone? or do you think I can go direct to Nokia and ask them to do the extraction??
There exist quite a few software's to recover deleted SMS messages from SIM cards and phone memory, but all of them require you to purchase the software, However, if you own a Nokia phone you might be in luck, as there are very good chances of message recovery from your cellphone without need of any specialized data recovery software for free, simply follow the step-by-step procedure below for important data recovery: 1)Download(see the source) and install the free mobile File Manager - FExplorer. 2)Launch FExplorer and navigate to C: if you use Phone Memory to store your messages (default) and D: if you use Storage Card as your SMS storage location. 3)Now navigate to and open “system” folder. 4)Now open the “mail” folder. 5)This folder should contain many folders named similar to 0010001_s etc. with files named similar to 00100000 etc., These files are the actual deleted messages, Simply, use the FExplorer inbuild text viewer to view these files, You will need to browse through every folder and open all files inside them until you get the required SMS. 6)Do Note that this trick does not work on Symbian 3rd Edition cellphones. I hope this helped.
Q: i brought a new mobile phone battery for my phone(Sharp 903sh) because my other one was damaged. I put the battery in my phone and when i went to switch my phone on it wouldnt work. i put the battery on charge and the charging light didnt flash and my phone still didnt turn on.should i keep my phone on charge for a few hours.i need a bit of help please
First of all, make sure you follow the phone's user's manual on how to insert a battery. If your phone is plugged into the wall, unless either a) that outlet is bad, b) the cord for your phone is bad, c) the battery is bad or was put in backwards, upside down or whatever, or d) some combo of a, b, and/or c, your phone should at least show something of a display. I think you need to use another phone and call the company's tech/customer support line and have them help you. I heard that a warranty can be voided if the phone is put in wrongly or something like. Anyway, hope this helps.
Q: A FRIEND RECENTLY GAVE ME A T-MOBILE PHONE THE DASHER. MY PHONE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY WITH CRICKET. CAN I GET THIS PHONE TURNED ON WITH CRICKET?
Yes, but data is slower than dialup.
Q: I'm doing this project in school about mobile phones, and I was wondering how mobile phones or special made mobile phones for diabled people help disabled people
Mobile phones are very useful for people who are deaf or have hearing loss. They can communicate using text messages or e-mails. Some mobile phones are also compatible with hearing aids. Most regular telephones don‘t have a text messaging function or other deaf-friendly features, so mobile phones make communication a lot easier for people who cannot hear well. Mobile phones are very useful for people who have limited use of their hands. Many mobile phones have a voice dialling feature and hand-fee earphones, so people don‘t have to actually dial the numbers with their fingers, hold the phone to their ear or touch the phone much at all to make or pick up phone calls. There exist mobile phones with large buttons, a large font screen, braille buttons or screen readers (which read out loud from the screen), which are useful for people who are blind or don‘t see well. There exist very simple versions of mobile phones, which are useful for some people who have severe cognitive disabilities, memory loss and such that can make it difficult for them to use regular phones. Some mobile phones even just have one or two buttons with a pre-programmed telephone number behind them, so that the person can easily phone to someone who is important to them (a caregiver for example, or an emergency number). Mobile phones have various organizer tools that can be very helpful for some people with disabilities, especially disabilities that affect memory, organization skills, concentration and such. Reminders can be set up (for example to remind people to take their medication). The calendar function can be used to keep track of appointments or other things the person needs to remember. The task list function can remind people of tasks they need to finish. Mobile phones have many useful features that can help people with various kinds of disabilities.
Q: Hello guys would you please tell me about a where can I purchase second hand mobile phones in bradford?
caution; you may get stuck unless: the phone is labeled with the provider you want to use CDMA providers refuse to activate any phone but the ones they sold and it must be GPS enabled. or the provider uses GSM and not CDMA. It is illegal to sell a locked GSM phone now. so all you need to do is migrate the sim card.
Q: I am a T-Mobile user, in the US, and it is time for me to upgrade to another phone. I was wondering if anyone has any of these phones, and how they like them. My main issue is email access, texting, picutres, and obviously I would like most importantly to have the phone feature work with a clear and loud sound. Please give me any negative input on the phones listed as well. Thanks so much for your help.T-Mobile Dash?T-Mobile BlackBerry? Pearl? 8100?T-Mobile BlackBerry 8700gT-Mobile Sidekick? 3Any Problems you have had with your phone is also welcome. Thanks again
I have the BB Pearl. I think the phone works the best of all BBs; super easy for one-handed use, clear and loud plus has a great speaker phone; very easy to set up email; sync process is a snap with any calendar or address book; great camera with zoom produces pretty high quality photos; texting is easy and fast. T-Mobile offers great BB tech support.
Q: I want a new phone for Christmas and I've been looking at Virgin mobile phones because they have unlimited texting and web so I want to know if they're any good before I get one.
the deal is good but i have had alot of bad experiences with virgin. The texting sometimes gets delayed for hours straight, and they like to take money out of ur account for no reason, not to mention the phones are made very cheap, and the smartphones are very expensive.
