1.Description of Ceramic Fiber Products :
Ceramic fiber product is made from high quality Gao-ling clay, high purity alumina and silica oxides by spun or blown process. It is asbestos free. No chemical binder is added. Double-side needling provides blanket with great tensile or handing strength for easy installation.

There are four kinds of ceramic fiber products according to the temperature and chemical content. They are STD(1260℃),HP(1260℃),HA(1350℃, high alumina),HZ(1430℃,contain ZrO2).
1) For the blanket, the bulk density will be 64kg/m3, 96 kg/m3, 128 kg/m3, 160 kg/m3.
2) For the paper, the bulk density will be 160-220 kg/m3.
3) For the board, the bulk density will be 240-400kg/m3.

- Q: I'm making the front bumper, rear bumper, front fenders separate from the rest of the body on separate molds, what material is best to make a mold out of for fiberglass?
- More fiber glass, after your plug is made, plug being the model of what you want to duplicate, right down to the glossy finish, this part should look exactly like what you want to come out of the mold, once accomplished this is sprayed with a release agent then gel coat, and several layers of fiber glass is layed down over that, normally if a large piece a frame will be needed to keep the finished mold rigid, 1x 1 lumber and expanding foam which is used for home insulation work well, dosent have to be real fancy as the foam will hold everything togeather, once cured flip it over and remove your plug from the mold, to duplicate the piece, its the same process, release agent, gel coat, fiber glass, if you take care of the mold you should get many copys, if you plan to make many more then dont throw away the plug if you plan to do this once then its far cheaper to just buy fiberglass fenders and bumpers.
