Q: I want to get something pierced. My mom wont let me get anything on my face pierced but she will allow ear and body piercings. I thought about a belly ring but everyone has one amd i'm very skinny and scared it'd rip out. so i've been looking at ear piercings and really like a Targus piercing or a scaffold. Q: Okay so I want to get either done, I just want to know which one is more painful. Not felling that nervous because I have had my nose and tongue done. I want to know which one is more painful and how to clean each of them. And also with the lip, is it more like the tongue with what foods you can eat and how hard it is to eat?: The lip is an interesting piercing. The person doing your piercing will clamp you lip, causing a mild discomfort to distract you and guide the needle and ring in, takes less than a minute. Virtually painless, unless your pain threshold is sensitive. Also, if you get a monroe (left upper lip) or madonna (right upper lip), it would vary from a medusa (center middle lip) because that us where the skin is the thickest. Lower lips piercings are about the same. You start of with a longer laret ring for two weeks to compensate for swelling than get a normal one. It is going inside your mouth so be careful how you chew. m Clean the inside of your mouth after every time you eat with a non alcohol mouth rinse or saltwater rinse. As for the outside take some warm water and non iodized salt and gently twist the labret while using a q tip to gently clean around it.

Q: Which hurts less, the piercing at the top of the ear, or the piercing from one side of the upper ear to the other?Thanks. =): Helix will be less painful. It's kind of obvious that it would be a helix is probably one of the easiest piercings you can get I got mine done when I was like 13 and I didn't even flinch getting it done. A scaffold is definitely more intense. After all there are 2 incisions for this piercings so it's gong to be twice as tough. It's sore haling too, the bar is awkward and when it moves it hurts. A helix is far easier :)

Q: So im a guyAnd I might get oneAnyone had one before/got one?Any advice?How much do they normaly cost?if you answer this i will love you forever :): My industrial was the biggest nightmare piercing I've ever had. I just retired it a few weeks or so ago after waiting for it to heal for 13 months. They usually take between 6 and 12 months to heal. It never healed completely. I got keloids on the inside and outside of both holes and they looked absolutely terrible. I was actually embarrassed when people asked to see my piercing. I couldn't sleep or use the phone or use headphones on that side of my head. Changing the jewelry to titanium only made it worse (and titanium usually does wonders in my piercings). It was the most finicky and miserable piercing I have ever had. Mine was not done with one needle. That is an improper piercing technique. The second hole does hurt like heck, though. Also, don't over-clean it. Twice a day is sufficient. Sea salt soaks are amazing, too!

Q: i got my scaffold done quite a while ago and it still really hurts and is all lush and crusty,loli know it takes agessss to heal but could i take it out and put normall small earrings in each whole instead? Which would i have to use? thanks: in my opinion you should ride it out and just clean it more often. not only will the piercings give you trouble if you try to change the earring now, the piercings themselves will move slightly and you won't be able to put an industrial bar back through it. if you can live with these go through with it, if not, wash often, rotate the bar constantly and avoid sleeping on it and getting your hair caught up in it. like you said, piercings in the cartilage are very sensitive and need time and nurturing so that they can heal properly.
