Q: I want to get rid of someone. Are there any advantages of Reduction In Force versus just firing them without a reason?
Well I'm not quite sure how far a car should be parked from a hydrant, because it's different for every other state. I believe it's 5-10ft. Or one car's length from the edge of the hydrant to the bumper. This person seems like he or she is breaking the law. I would definitely report this kind of habit. Report this to your local authorities such as the police, fire department, or department of traffic (or whatever you call it). They would either fine your neighbor or give him or her a big warning. Parking a vehicle near a hydrant can actually be life-threatening. If there was a fire around and fire trucks can't have access to it, lives can be lost. It would be your neighbors fault for not removing their vehicle. If you don't want to go to the authorities, simply go up to your neighbor and tell them about the hydrant issue. I'm sure that they don't want to interfere with firemen, since their job is to stop fires and save lives (and property!)
Q: 6 years ago I decorated a champagne bottle for my boyfriend (now, husband :), using pictures of us, glass beads, stickers, etc. After applying all the goodies, I was instructed to apply several coats of Modge Podge over the entire bottle. Then took it to a place and had them apply a clear, hard, plastic coating. Epoxy? My sister-in-law saw the bottle and wants to make one for her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. What material will give this same effect? Acrylic? Epoxy Resin? etc.And how should it be applied? sprayed? painted? dipped?Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!Thank you!!!
You may just want to clean the paper path as much as you can reach, including the rollers. There may just be dust from the constant paper that's been going through the printer, and this accumulation may be just slippery enough to cause your slipping problem with the paper. I'd suggest just using some rubbing alcohol that will clean the rollers and paper path and evaporate quickly.
Q: What is the impact speed when a car mov-ing at 300 km/h bumps into the rear of an-other car traveling in the same direction at63 km/h? Answer in units of km/h.
I'm guessing the light in the room is sending off a glare, a glare that will show your reflection and holding a dark piece of paper behind your cylinder is a base, which makes it clear for you to see yourselfyour reflection and the light in the room is (independent) it is there, holding the black paper behind the transparent glass is the (dependent) making it visible for you to see or not. The black paper is not the cause of your reflection but a important element to you seeing your own vision.
Q: circular cross-section, as indicated in the figure .a. If the radius of curvature of the bump is 35 m, find the apparent weight of a 67kg person in your car as you pass over the top of the bump.
Keep in mind that if the van is more than a couple years old and out in the sun a lot, the paint will have faded enough that you have a different paint shade under the stripes. Let the area soak in an adhesive remover like Goo Gone then heat it with a hairdryer or head gun, then scrape it off with something soft like a credit card. A hard metal scraper will cause a lot of scratches. Even a softer scraper will cause a few but you may have an easier time buffing them out.
Q: Moved into a house with an ADT alarm system, about 20 years old. There are two smoke detectors, which I would like to replace with combination carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. I can't figure out how to remove the plastic cover in order to detach the detector itself from the ceiling. The detector is round, white plastic cover over a black base. It has a small grille in the plastic, maybe 15% of the area of the cover. There is also a round metal piece, maybe 1.5 diameter, looks like a miniature shower head.I called ADT for help, and here I can only say this is how I interpreted their response, they may be very nice people: we don't even want to talk to you if you are not signed up for monitoring. So I am on my own.
Just watch the DIY channel for a few days and you'll be fine.
Q: neibor dug ditch across road(2) on rightofway.put up sign sayin were speed bumps.nieghbors on end of rightway dont agree with it.i fill in ditch..he unfills..also deed says 10' rightway alsohe dont..what can b done about that
More than 75% of the known asteroids can be found in a belt between mars and jupiter. a) is wrong: only a small fraction of the asteroids are Earth crossers b) most asteroids are rocky, it's the comets that are icy c) according to theory the asteroids are not some disintegrated planet. In fact it is the gravitational influency from Jupiter that prevented the asteroids to become a planet in the first place. d) Most asteroids lie between Mars and Jupiter.
Q: Fire Extinguishers are classified by the types of fires they extinguish: Class A extinguishers are used on wood products, plastics, and rubber; Class B extinguishers are used on grease fires and petroleum products; Class C extinguishers are used on electrical fires; and Class D extinguishers are used on combustible metals. Which type of fire extinguisher should you use on a gasoline fire?class a? class b? class c? or class d?
Hi Joe. Well My dear, they are telling you that they are dirty, and are in need of a vacuuming. Dust and dirt collects on the very sensitive electrical components, and if not vacuumed out twice a year, they will start that annoying beep. So, get the vacuum out, open up the face, and vacuum them. That will stop their chirping, and beeping. Byee
Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of three color, super, and PC reflectors?
Reflective film: is a special process will be formed by the formation of glass beads and PVC, PU, PET, acrylic, PC and other polymer materials formed by the combination of a new reflective material.Purpose: safety protection products made of reflective materials, reflective effect can produce strong light in certain, guarantee the safety of the most effective and reliable for pedestrians in the dark or night workers.Principle: reflective film is a special structure of PVC film which can reverse the light back to the light source by using the optical principle. The film is composed of a film layer with good weather resistance, a micro glass bead layer, a focusing layer, a reflecting layer, a viscose layer and a peeling layer.
Q: ever since then, would you take it back?
Alright, so the reason that it is easy to see the green laser in the air is because of a couple of things. First off, you can only see something when light bounces off of it. There are all sorts of things in the air, so you can see the green light being bounced off of them. But there is another reason and it has to do with how your eyes work You have three different cone cells in your eye that see color, sometimes confusingly called red, blue and green. But here is the thing, they aren't spread out nice and evenly over the whole visible spectrum. The Blue cone peaks at around the 420 nm range, the other two at around 530 and 560 nm. As you move farther away from these peaks you get less sensitivity for that particular cone. Notice that the green and red cones are really close together. There is a lot of overlap in sensitivity for those two in the 500-580 range. Especially around 550. These are the areas that are generally considered hues of green. Even the blue cone extends somewhat into the green colors. This all means that our eyes are really really good at seeing the color green, so even though the air looks fairly clear to you, and even though those little bits of particles in the air are only reflecting a tiny amount of green light, you can still see it. This also means that a green laser is easier to see than say a red laser or a blue laser of the same power. From my limited experience with a blue laser (450 nm I think can't remember off the top of my head, 5mw though) it seems very unlikely that you will be able to see the beam in the air unless it is really dark and really foggy. In fact, the dot will look a lot dimmer than a green laser of the same power.
Q: Do smart cards and Rfid access cards use the same cocept/technology for functioning? Which is more effective? Is the GPS system anywhere connected to them?
If you want to go with non-reflective, non-glare, I'd go for velvet or velveteen. My other choice would be wool flannel. Polyester is a fiber and can be made into all sorts of fabrics, from sheer chiffon to upholstery fabrics. The fibers are generally spun to be rounded (though other shapes are possible, including trilobal) and usually do reflect some light, particularly from flash photography.
