- Q: besides apparently smoke detectors?
- A. use a headlight that is visible for at least 500 feet. yes B. ride toward traffic NOT!!!!! this is a good way to be blinded, and invisible to cars, as well as killed who the hell wrote that? C. use a headlight that is visible for at least 50 feet. see A D. use a headlight that is visible for at least 100 feet. see A you forgot E use a bright red rear blinker F wear bright clothes - white or yellow - NOT fluorescent, that does nothing in the dark G wear reflective bands and patches on your clothes H put reflective material all over your bike - particularly the pedals, cranks, and inside the wheel rims - they move and attract attention I the same headlight that is visible for 500 feet also lets ME see at least 50 feet in front of the bike wle.
- Q: Typical reflection brightness of reflective material: 80cd/ (LX = m2) what does it mean?
- Luminous intensity (light intensity in inverse reflector = observation direction) / (inverse illumination reflector is perpendicular to the direction of the incident light on the plane), Candela said (CD/LX) per lux;
- Q: What can I do? The police have come out several times, given warnings, and issued several citations to my neighbor. If my house catches fire I want to make sure there is a fire hydrant available. Should I tell the fire department?
- Most sun screens work like house paint in that they contain a chemical compound that reflects light. This can be either Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide. Titanium Dioxide is used in house paint to reflect light that hits it and make the paint look less translucent. People who say they are wearing Zinc are probably just wearing a sunscreen whose reflective material is Zinc Oxide.
- Q: I have three kids and we just keep getting sick.. I have been sick for more then a week.. And now the kids and I do not like it..
- I work at a party supply store, and we work with both mylar balloons and mylar sheets, and they are easy to work with. Aluminum foil has a really high risk of tearing, but mylar is pretty sturdy is terms of its thin-ness. Also, mylar comes in many different colors that reflect differently.

- Translucent is the most common type of glass used for stained glass. However, you can also have the other three types of glass mixed in.
- Q: I have removed the icons from the desktop so people can't access them from the desktop, but my nephew is 9 and knows his way around a computer pretty well and he knows to go to start to look for the program.What I want is to know how to hide this so others cant access this. If it is through parental controls or others ways that require a password to access the program. The easy thing to do is just change the password to prevent them from accessing the desktop all together, BUT I allow others on my computer when they ask, but I just need a way to block a few things from everyone else who uses it.Computer wizzes, dont be shy!
- Enjoy and tell all your friends so that they can enjoy them too!
- Q: I didn't. A little fire broke out on my stove. I went for my handy dandy fire extinguisher and had to stop to read the directions and then when I figured it out the fire got a little bit bigger. Then the thing just sputtered. It did nothing. I ended up just throwing flour at it. Fire out, house safe. What is the point of these things?? And are there good verses bad fire extinguishers? I need to know this stuff. What if the flour didn't work? We have some fire damage. I need a new stove and the wall behind it is just trashed. Not to mention how the house smells. I was just glad that I could put it out. I thought I was doing the right thing by having an extinguisher on hand. We have them all over the house. Garage, by the kids bedrooms and attic. I thought I did every thing I should do.
- hm.well for once no second why not use school time for homework, so you will get a reasonable job and won't become welfare sucker
- Q: And these are the same people Obama thought he could win over with an apology and a smile?
- First of all, how is it that it is considered safer to drive above the posted speed limit ? Driving on the freeways/highways 55 mph saves lots of fuel and adds very little to the overall travel time. Those exceeding the speed limit, ( where by the way, that is the limit of mph to travel, not the start) are a danger to themselves and all other motorists. Speed bumps are installed to curb the dummies that drive well above the safe limit for the area. A residential area has a 25 mph speed limit, regardless of whether it's posted or not. Cameras do not deter the infractors
- Q: I am considering moving up to Alaska and was wondering what vehicle would do the best up there. It is just me only and I am considering geting a Jeep Wrangler or Compass
- The downside would be if you had another water loss from inside the home. In order to dry out the subfloor (and prevent mold) they would have to dry it out from both above (in your home) and below (in the crawlspace), and to dry it out from below they would need to remove the insulation. I would go with the rolled fiberglass insulation
- Q: Saw a statue i am interested in on for 50 bucks that is cold-cast resin, not sure what that is or if it is even worth 50 dollars.
- I would get a basic light fitting and then decide how much light I need. You get more light from higher wattage bulbs. If you want to add colour then I suggest not to use a too powerful globe because it will melt the film. To change colour you can have three different lenses that you can rotate with a small motor. To focus the beam you can use high gloss sheets that they use in sky lights. I would find an electrical wholesaler for the lights, build the boxes out of ply wood and then get the reflective material to focus the beam from the sky light people. Then you can stain glass for the colour or use colour film. Then you can make up a disk and fit the colour lenses in and then use a motor to rotate the as you hold it in with pulley system. You get some low cost DC motors out there and you can make a cheap ac/dc converter or just use a car battery. Otherwise use two drills and then run them with a car battery to turn the lights. then you just clamp them down and put the disk in the chuck of the drill. A hand drill works fine off a battery by the way as it is a universal motor. If you want to dim and light up the lights speak to the electrical wholesaler, they can hook you up with a potentiometer or a dimmer. Also remember to push down the prices, otherwise they will rip you off. Also remember a good chorus makes good hardcore bands these days.
