One issue you may have in accessing the spanner nuts is that there's not enough room between the sink and back wall to access the nuts. In this case, you'll need a tool called a spanner wrench, which is basically a crescent-shaped metal clamp on the end of a metal handle that clamps down onto the nut when you turn it (ask the sales person in plumbing to show you one).
