Q: Im replacing the factory rear speakers in my car but cant figure on which wires are positive and which are negative. I went on a site for impalas but the color wires they have listed are not the same color wires in my car your help will be appreciated.

Q: I bought a wiring harness for my 2001 Ford Focus with a non-blaupunkt factory cassette player. The wiring harness doesn't match up exactly. A reviewer online said his didn't match up either, but still worked. The factory wiring has 7 slots and the one I received has 8. What do you think?Factory wiring on the left, the harness I received on the right:Constant Voltage - Constant VoltageGround - NothingIgnition Voltage - Ignition VoltageConstant Voltage - Illumination/DimmerGround, switched - NothingGround - GroundNot Used - Power AntennaNo Slot Here - Remote Turn onIt's mainly the Constant Voltage - Dimmer connection that worries me.And I know I can just hack up the wiring and skip the harness all together, but I'm trying to keep it simple and neat for the next guy/gal (which may be me for all I know). What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Q: I have a Speedaire 4B234 its currently wire to 120V but keep flipping the breaker and I have a 240V in the garage so I want to wire it to that. I have 2 blue wires, 2 red wire, and 2 green wires but the green wires are hooked together. One blue wire goes to Line and the other to Motor and same thing with the red wires.
Go to any store that sells them and look at the manual. Better still, Google for the manual.
Q: So on my ceiling fan I have a white, black, green, and blue wire. In the ceiling I have a green, white, black, red, and bronze wire. What gets connected to what? Thanks for the help!
Attach any and all green and bare wires together. (what you are calling bronze is actually bare copper) If you are not using a remote unit then put all whites together. The black in the ceiling box often (but not always) is a constant hot. Most people connect that to the fan motor. Most likely that will be the black wire on the fan. The Red wire in the ceiling box is often (b n a) used as a switch leg and would go to the light kit wire. In your case that may be the blue wire on your fan. Color codes vary from manufacture to manufacture, so don't be shocked if the blue goes to the fan motor. I have seen them wired that way.
Q: Im currently running 8 gauge power wire from my battery to my amp which is a hifonics zxi8408 i have it bridged to 2 channels so its pushing 440 watts x2 to 2 alpine type Rs. The current speaker wire im running is 16 gauge. My question is...since im going to go down to 4 gauge power wire, should I lower the speaker wire and get 12 gauge speaker wire also? What will sound the best?
4 gauge is just fine.
Q: Which of the following wires would tend to have the least amount of electrical resistance? a) long b) fiberglass c) hot d) thick
thick wires have less resistance
Q: Besides the speaker wires, what do the remaining 5 colored wires stand for on a stock 03 Mitsubishi Galant radio?
See if they have a Haynes book for your vehicle at an auto store. In the last pages they have the wiring diagrams and the colors.
Q: I'm looking to install a ceiling fan in a fixture that recently had just a light (no idea if it ever had a fan). When I removed the old light, I found that there were three white wires from the ceiling twisted together and connected to the white wire on the light fixture, one black wire from the ceiling connected to the black wire on the fixture, and three black and one white ceiling wires just capped together, not connected to the light fixture.Any idea what the last 4 wires are? I would think that I just need to leave them alone, however, I have to replace the box in the ceiling with one that is rated for a fan, which means I need to (temporarily) disconnect them. I have the breaker turned off that turned the light off, but can I be 100% sure that power to those other 4 wires if also off?
Cotton is right and even though you have low voltage I shut the main off to for sure when I am on a ladder because even the little shock might be enough to make you lose your balance and fall
Q: What are those strange ball-like things that are on some electric/telephone wires? I think they're on electric wires. I've always wondered.
Boys that age love autos and autos whilst women people love princesses. make effective that's vivid and vibrant and the pictures/products are sufficiently tremendous that they could see them easily yet heavily isn't waiting to attain up and pull them off (I misplaced some mobiles that way till i got here upon to hold them bigger).
Q: Why is it that some wires get hot, having electricity flow throught them, while others don't?And why is it that when there is a lot of resistance in a wire, that it doesn't get hot?Why does the length of a wire has an effect on the temperature of that wire, and how exactly?
Well it depends. If you varry the current the temperature of the wire will also vary. You have to take into account the actual diameter of the wire, the wider the wire, and constant current, the cooler the wire will be when you run electricity through it. If you have a wire with HIGH resistance it will get HOTTER, thats how light bulbs work.
