Q: My Vacbag keeps splitting when I use it, why does it keep doing that?
Your Vacbag may not be the one suited for your unit, as it will split if it is not the right size for the vacuum cleaner. The bag itself is not an issue with size or shape, but if the hose doesn’t fit into it then it breaks it. We have a range of Vacbags for many models of vacuum cleaners, we can always see if one fits your model or if there is a distributor near you.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: We must have had 10 vacuums in the past 5 years. We have been buying bagless upright vacuum cleaners in the $80-$150 range. We run a playgroup from our house so we vacuum alot!! At least 3 times a day. These cheap cleaners just don't last. The loose suction very quickly and eventually just break. So we have decided to invest in a better quality one. Any suggestions of a good quality vacuum cleaner that will last and do a really good job time after time. We don't really care about bag/bagless or upright/canister. We just want something that works well and will last. We are looking in the $400 max price range. So far we have been looking at Dyson, Oreck and Electrolux. Please help!!!!
- Vacuums, they all suck, or should anyway. Store brands: Bissell, Hoover, Eureka, Dirt Devil etc are all good. But not built to do the heavy duty vacuuming that a commercial vac is designed to do. I can attest to those I've listed. I have accrued probably 15 different models over the past year from the college apartment community we live in. I pull em out of the trash. Replace the belt, clean em up and sell em on craigs list for $15 -$65 each. I have owned the Rainbow, albeit $1800.00 new, you can get them on craigslist for $200.00 to $600.00. It's an excellent vacuum and will provide many many years of trouble free service. The best feature the Rainbow brings to the table is it is 100% dust free on the exhaust. Call a Rainbow distributor, ask for an in-home demonstration. You WILL be impressed. But buy a used one. You'll save many many 100's of dollars. Good luck...

- I work in a vacuum sales/repair shop and I believe the Dirt Devil classic or ultra vac are your best choices. They are bagless/bagged units. They are NOT cordless. They only corless I sell, is a high power unit for about $70. The DD will run about 40-60.

- In my opinion, no. You don't have to spend that kind of money to get a good quality vacuum cleaner. I own a Hoover, have had it for 17 years, have never had any trouble with it, and it works like a charm. I've heard a lot of bad things about Dyson, including the lack of customer service. If you want a 'premium' vacuum cleaner, Oreck is very good quality and the company stands behind its exceptionally good warranty.
