- Check your springs on the door. If one broke, the motor would not be able to lift your door and would just hum. Check for any misalignment or ****** rollers. If the motor is humming then your circuit board is likely working right. The motor may be bad but it did work this morning. Tap the motor or CAREFULLY use something to turn the motor, while it is trying to run. If it works while doing that then you probably do have a bad motor.
- Q: does anyone know how to disable the auto locking feature? we have a sprinter van at work and the doors always lock and its inconvienient. i know you can disable it, because the other one we have doesnt do it. we dont have the manual either cause it is probably in there.thanks

- Q: I have no idea what is wrong with it, it just stopped opening, with both the car opener (I replaced the battery, so that's not it) & the main opener inside the garage. I am not mechanically inclined so please keep it simple. There are no instructions :(thanks in advance
- Does the motor run when you push the button? If so, the emergency release may have become disengaged. There should be a rope with a red handle hanging near the front of the track. Pull that so the latch springs up, push the button, and you are set. If the door attempts to open, or goes up part way and then comes back down, look above the door. There are 2 springs mounted to the header, one on each side. One may be broken. If so, call a service tech to replace them. Although only one may be broken, the other probably won't be far behind. You pay for double on the parts, but only one service call. If that doesn't correct the problem, call a tech. The motor may have seized, or there could be any number of other problems. Hope this helps.

- yes look for a spray lube its is by FEHR and it is garage door lube. If you can not fiind that use 30w motor oil in a squirt can. shoot lube on hinge points on hinges and squirt some in rollers. get an old rag put oil on it run along bottom of rail of operator and rub on sprins at least one to two inches from each end. Do not use WD40 it will evaporate and cause it to rust faster

- Any conventional door closer will work on this door. It doesn't look like a heavy door so you don't need a really heavy duty one. If you have ever put a piece of furniture together form Wally-word you can install a door closer just follow directions.
