- Q: i have a ASUS M4A87TD-USB3 mobo and a Corsair 550 Watts Power Supply. Ive looked in the manual andit says you need to connect the one that ive connected and a 4 pin. It says that if you dont connect the 4 pin the computer wont boot! is there a way around this or it f**ked?
- Just replace the power supply. What's the problem? You have an OLD ATX powersupply with 20-pins. The NEWER ATX power supply is 20+4 pins. --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
- Q: Our comcast HD cable box usually has the time and a little red light on front. Its blank and has no power. It is plugged into a power strip that also has the TV and stereo, yet those are working fine. We reset the power strip and still no power to the cable box.Any ideas? Please no rude remarks. Thanks.
- Cable boxes can die. I had two Comcast boxes, had an electrical storm and it knocked both of them out for good. Nothing else in the house failed. I called Comcast they sent out a tech with new boxes and that fixed it.
- Q: is it a power cable? parallel port?
- The monitor needs a power cable and a data cable. The data cable will plug in to the video socket on your PC.
- Q: Where can i find the power cable for this specific TV brand ? GO-VIDEO-2050..?
- Most TVs use two different types of power cable with either a normal female end or a two-prong narrow female end. Go to Best Buy and most likely you can find what you need.
- Q: Hey,I left my PS3 in the living room, and I think the dog peed up it. Stupid place to leave it, I know. Anyway, I brought it back upstairs, hooked it up but when I went to plug the power cable in, there was a real loud buzzing sound coming from the PS3, right where the cable goes in. When I unplug it from the PS3, it stops. I tried leaving it to dry, and making sure there was no moisture present inside the machine, but I tried hooking it up again and got an electric shock up my arm from it.Should I buy a new cable, leave it to dry, or is there something inherently wrong with the PS3 now? Thanks :)
- Ive never come across this before. Maybe its because i don't no anyone who has a dog which has peed up there PS3. I would suggest you dont get a other cable because that one might break aswell due to water getting in your ps3. If i was you i would contact Playstation or the store you got it from for more advice. Like i say im not sure and i dont think many people will come across this problem.
- Q: Which is the best way to prevent damage to the laptop / ac power jack when someone trips on the cable ?Dont ask me to buy a Mac since I already have one. This is for my new PC notebook.
- Why don't you use an extension cord so it can lay flat on the ground?
- Q: Fourth, what causes the power cable fire accident
- After the cable is burned out, the repair time is long and the loss is serious
- Q: i am going to establish a new power cable manufacturing business. i want to ask you what should i name to my business or what brand name should i adopt that is appopriate.
- follow the suggestions. Good Luck
- Q: I feel like this is a stupid question but yeah, I m getting a PC and wonder about all the cables. It doesn t have vga output so I m going with a separate hdmi cable to the screen, but power cables I suppose will be there? Like that s not a separate thing ooor...?
- depends on 'where' youre getting it from .. a retail bought machine is sure to have all the basic cables for hookup ..
- Q: Most systems are about 1 thousand watts, the red power cable is really thick but then the speaker wire is really thin about 12 gauge, shouldn't the speaker wire be as thick as the power cable?
- No. Wire thickness is about current (and length). And current is inversely related to voltage. When voltage is high (like an amp's speaker outputs) it takes less current to make power. When voltage is low (like a car's alternator/battery) it takes a lot of current to make power. Alternator voltage is ~14v. Amplifier output voltage is commonly 20-40v. Your 1000w example... Say it's a fairly efficient class D mono, 1000w at 2 ohms and 80% efficient. To produce that 1000w requires 1250w from the alternator at around 13v. Ohm's law says current (I) = power(p)/voltage(e) So I = 1250/13, I = 96A On the output side -- I = sqrt(p/r), I = sqrt(1000/2), I = 22A
