- It will work but i dont understand why you have to cut it if its for your carIt ma ybe easier since it is a vaccuum line to drill the hole and make the threads in it then install a small peice of pipe for the hose to go over making a better seal than taking a chance of the jb weld not holdin and your nub going into the engine.

- Ceramic tops are ok i have one of those glass top stove tops and it does the job . if you can afforsd a SS get one it will last way longer than the AL. but if AL is what you have no problem they last a long time as well.
