Q: I'm trying to get 15mm circular blanks out of a very thin sheet of aluminum foil (~10 microns) without burring or deformationI cannot seem to find a reliable way of achieving this under a budget of $200Could someone recommend a method/product? Thank you!
I would think the basic form would be a matched pair of blocks with flat surfaces together and held in alignment to allow opening to a slot and compressed to clamp the material, drilled to near 15 mm and honed/reamed out to 15 mm and a flat faced machined 15 mm cylinder to shear the blank at the wallsIt seems to me that the simplest way to make a holder/opener for the slot that would withstand the machining would be to either bolt a slightly bent spring steel sheet to the side of the blocks while they were clamped or to machine the sides to a slight bevel and bolt a flat piece of spring steel to sideIn either case, the spring steel would force alignment of the side and clamping to close the narrow slot would permit drilling and honing the hole to produce a shear faceI think it would work to have a flat face on the cylinder although experiments with a slight machined dish face (concave) to produce slightly more of a cutting edge might be in orderThe cylinder might need a center hole to release air to keep the compression of air from dishing the foil as it was moved down the cylinder, but that might apply only to the first piece if the cylinder is only moved up and down 1 mm or so between punches and shifts of the foil.
Q: My mother is leaving for a trip to Europe and I'd like to slip a mother's day card into her suitcase, will it be ok to have lotto scratch-offs as a small gift inside the card? I don't want her to experience any problems with Airport security.
Kay gave you some good tips: I've been quilting for many yearsI have three of Penny's Euro-pros from themThey're a good machine but, don't have a lot of functionsI do have a Brother Embroidery machine also but, don't use it that much and a sergerI also have a heavy duty machine for heavy fabricThe Penney's has been the work horse for our quilting workWe can't afford a real quilting machine but, still do the workThey're usually about 15 thousand dollarsThe cheapest I've seen, the best machines are about six thousand dollars, a lot of money if you don't have itIf you pay anywhere from 150 to 200 dollars for a machine and learn to use it, you'll do fine.
Q: I am trying to make a mask, but first I need foil, so I can get the shape of my face right and then make a mask but what can I use instead of aluminum foil???
There is no alternative to heavy duty aluminum foil unless you go to rigid molds using alginate or plaster of Paris (and the latter very carefully if directly on skin) What is wrong with foil that you can't just go buy it?
Q: something to have with riceDont have lots of stuff, and dont want anything with cream.Anyone have any ideas ?xxx

It shouldn't be doing thata couple options here: You need a good quality hair straightnerIonicH.A.Iis good, and also don't flat iron wet hairThat's REALLY bad for itBlow dry first with an ionic blow dryerIt's worth the moneyYou'll see a HUGE differencePut on a Heat Protection lotion for your hair, then flat iron itIf your ends still aren't working out, deep condition and try putting pomade on the endsThat tames themOf course you can cut off the tips, tooIt's probably too late to save themP.SDon't use SuaveWhen it comes to hair products, you really do get what you pay for.

Q: What is the M1 abrams tank made out of? what type of material?
That is secretBut perhaps you could be more specific? the tank has tens of thousands of partsWhich one do you refer to? The seats? the gun barrel? the hatch? the exhaust pipe? but I do know that there are many materials used in the constructionSteels, aluminum, copper, plastics, hardened steel, etcOne interesting material is reactive armorThe last defense against penetrator type rounds are directional explosives located on the outside surface of the tank that are designed to explode, directing most of their explosive energy outwards, as a last defense against penetrating rounds, with the explosive disrupting the explosion in the round before it has a chance to penetrate.
