Q: I am trying to cast two separate pieces of aluminum for skateboard trucksand i would like to have a reusable so i could make many sets of theseI dont know how to do thisi have a lot of ordinary clay at my disposal, would a clay mold work for casting?Help?
Normal way would be to machine a 'master' of the truck them pack the master into the clayCarefully cut the clay in half, remove the master, join the clay half's back together, make a pour hole or a 'sprew', pour in the molten aluminumNow, I have no idea if this clay you have is suitable or notNext up would be to have the truck shape machined into two steel blocks, half on each sideClamp the blocks together pour in the metalBecause the melting point of steel is much higher then aluminum, the steel mold should last quite a whileAfter the aluminum has mostly cooled, remove the clamps pop-out the rough truck shapeUsing the two piece steel mold would probably be the best ideaLook-up 'mold makers' in your town.
Q: or water bottles.?or basically whats the most annoying package you know/have?lol we have this thing where were supposed to redesign the packaging of a product and we chose a pop can/water bottlethanks we just need a bit of yur opinion
OK first the potato: raw potato isn't good for hamsters its poisonouscooked isentnow the diarrhea: the most common cause of diarrhea in a hammy is a sudden change of diet or the feeding of too much soft foodsthe droppings are watery, soft and light in color, and the hamster may be wet or messy around his bottomA hammy with diarrhea should be given a dry diet only along with fresh water, if not recovered within a day or two, its wise to seek a vets advice because the diarrhea could be a symptom of something more seriousbut since it was only a tiny bit they should be ok and the diarrhea should clear upGood luck ]
Q: im making my rabbit some treats and i have to put them on a foil covered cookie sheetim making them with my little sister so we dont know if that means u put aluminum foil over the cookie sheet or what becuase once when i was little my babysitter put a hambergur on aluminum foil in the microwave and it started a fire (just in the microwave) so i just wanted to be sure what to do because i dont want to have an accident
You don't use foil in the microwave, but it is safe to use in the ovenGood luck on making the treats.
Q: What is a fun craft to do with a 2 1/2 yr old girl? Valentine's Day is coming soon.?
I go grocery shopping when my fiance is homeI leave the baby with him, make the trip quick, and bring them inthere's always a time during the week where he's here for a few hours so I can get that, and other errands, doneI do my laundry the same wayI do it on the days he doesn't have to workhe is good about staying here and helping out so I can get things doneI'm a SAHM also, but it's hard to do those things when I'm home alone with the babyI don't think I've ever had to do laundry when he's not hereif I did (our laundry is down in the basement), I'd probably wait until my son was sleeping, and I'd bring the laundry downstairs quickly and lock the door, bring my keys, and come back up after it's all loaded and runningI take the garbage out like that, with the door lockingI'm never out for more than a minute, literallyand I live on the first floor, but there are stairs going outsideI lug it all with mepurse, stroller, carseat, babysometimes I leave the stroller in the car but it'll only fit in the front seat, so that's annoyingI rarely use the stroller though, most of the time I use a slingI leave the diaper bag in the car a lot too, there's no use for it inside really, unless I'm restocking it.
Q: I recently acquired a rusty old mountain bike I figured I'd spruce up and maybe sell or rip apart and sell the Shimano Deore components for cheapIt's a Raleigh MT 500If you don't want to do the research it's a 25 pound hardtail XC mountain bike with a quot;Techniumquot; frame(steel lugs and aluminum frame)It has Deore XT SLR Plus Brakes, Deore XT rapid shifters (24 Speed), Deore LX front and rear derailleurs, and a Shimano Hyperglide C rear hubThe front fork suspension is Rock Shox Mag 10(which I just pumped up with my bike pump Sweet!)The frame is in decent shape except for rusting on the chainstays and bottombracket and a tiny 1/8 crack near the bottom bracketThe bike was free so I'm wondering if it's worth throwing new tires/tubes on it and selling it? Bikepedia sets the original 1994 retail price at $1,042It was the second highest performance quot;MTquot; model at the time. Now it's probably worth hardly anything and the MTB forum people won't answer me Help! please!
I have never seen the bike in question but know of itBonding Chromoly lugs with aluminum was at an experimental stage at that timeBad idea as the two materials react at different rates to everything but made for a light nice riding frame as the rear stays were Cro-mo steel.Lugging the steel /aluminum at that time made for a frame that was about 1 1/2 pounds lighter than most comparable steel framesThe reason the bike is so light is that is was offered as a full lx or full xt bike, meaning that all the parts were about as light as it gets at an affordable price range.[Suntour was still a competitor then] The crack at the bottom bracket makes it useless as a frame to most unless they are a skilled bike frame welder{most would not try, sorry] The components on the other hand are totally classic mid to top end Shimano gear.[yet not the best as the XTR was Shimano's best] I would pay 100-150 dollars for the bike as is just for the components as I am a lover of that great old stuffMy advice: Strip it down and sell all the partsI hope my mere opinion can be of some help to youp.sthe XT brake levers are the 'hotcakes'.The shifters are cool too.If they are not a combo then I think that they are sellable.
Q: the sites keep saying the opposite
The site in the 1st answer says aluminum frame from what i see.
Q: I want to make an Army of Two mask out of a tin metal sheet, how would I do that? I am skilled in metal working and welding, how would I make such a mask? the simplest way possible.
An ac does better on auto.
Q: which one has no burnt alot?
ok wht i would do is make the box and lid from stirefome put a little sodust on the botem then put ice on the saw dust them put sawdust over it and put the real cube of ice on the second layer of sawdust put the lid on and go
Q: Basically, i always cook my Salmon in foil, then leave it to cook in the ovenMy mum only has (basics) wrapping foil, it say's it's not to be put in the oven but can i anyway? What's the difference between normal and wrapping? Will it just stick to the salmon or what? I know wrapping's just for sandwiches ect butyou knowthank you!
if you are referring to foil for like wrapping stuff, its likely coated in plastic, which could melt, or let off toxic fumes in the oven, so I would say to get some regular aluminum foil.
Q: I need help in making a simple but clear and nice looking 3D human heart that I can stick onto a foam board so I can label it on therePlease help! Just link me or send me videos or something.I'm able to use things like foam, clay etc Thanks xo
The human heart is a complex thing to sculpt and for your purpose I would probably use polymer clay starting with a hollow shape around a wad of aluminum foil so I could have a softer red body on which to lay darker red arteries and bluer veins for function I don't consider foam all that easy to carve into this kind of shape and when done you would have to color code it Maybe the second choice, for your purpose would be to pick your view of the heart and use paper mache to make a half shell over a bowl or round coffee cup/custard cup with the major arteries and veins being added tubes of paperThen paint the surface when dry.
