If you have to low of trucks an dto big of wheel you'll get wheel bite(wheels rubbing the bottom of the deck). Wheels really depend on what type of skateing you want to do. For mostly street skating not so much park you'll want 52mm-55mm, and you'll want them to be a softer wheel. soft wheels grip better to all types of terrain, hard wheels slide better and don't grip to well. Good for park or vert. The bigger the wheel the faster it'll roll. You also want a mid size wheel like 52-55 for street because they won't stop on rocks or cracks making you fall down they'll roll better over them. I like 53mm wheels the best, never had any problems with them and my style of skating is mostly street. I would never get a wheel under 52mm for any style of skating just because it's not really needed.lots of people will say you'll be able to flip a skateboard better for tricks with a small wheel.not true. you'll flip a skateboard better with practice, don't blame the equipment for bad tricks. I started out on old school decks that where super wide and super heavy and did just fine.
