- Q: i have bladerunner pro 78 rollerblades, and after over 150 miles, it‘s time for new wheels. the wheels on the blades say 78mm 78A. if i buy replacement wheels that have both these specifications will the bearing size and everything match up with the wheels i have now? is there anything else i should know before purchasing new wheels?
- yup. they are not the costly either
- Q: I know how rear wheel drives work, but how do front wheel drives work? I‘ve heard that front wheel drive vehicles are better in the snow too, but is that true? What is the difference mechanically?
- Front wheel drives are better in the snow because your more pulling the vehicle rather than pushing. Because it's turning your front wheels. Rear wheel drive vehicles are mostly sporty cars because you get a certain, or better accelerationin the sports car. Example I own a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro (Rear Wheel Drive) and in the winter I put snow tires on and sand bags in the trunk so there is more weight in the back for more traction on the back wheels with all the power.
- Q: Can a wheel come off a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 4WD?(Front left driver side)The bearings are shot on the left side and my mechanic says that the wheel can come off.On the other hand, my dad says no it can not.I had no humming sound, though when I make a left turn, sometimes there is a clunking sound. The mechanic did not feel anything, but when they put it up on the lift, the left wheel wobbled. Never the less, I will be paying $461.00 tomorrow to get it fixed. YIKES!!So, can my wheel fall off and how?
- Yes, I think that it can though it is unlikely. If the bearing is super super bad and has actually broken, then it can split in half and your wheel can fall off. However, if you do not hear any noise other than a clunking, this is probably unlikely. I had a bad bearing that sounded horrible (like really really bad, no mistaking it, people looked at me funny when I passed) and it smell like burning metal because it was sooooooo close to breaking but I drove it for a couple hundred miles before fixing it because noone had my part. Anyways, I think the clunking might be your CV joint on one side, not your bearing. Also, have you checked somewhere else? I paid $50 for my bearing and $90 or so to have it put in. You could do it yourself too if you have the time. I would have but I did not have the time so I paid to have it done. $460 should pay for parts and labor for both your bearing and CV so call around. Good luck.
- Q: i have guitar hero and the guitar and i am think about trading it for a 360 force wheel do you think that the wheel is funner than guitar hero or not i alredy have forza 2
- I just bought the steering wheel for the 360 to use with Forza 2, you need to relearn how to play the game with the wheel. It is fun but I wouldn't trade in GH and a guitar for it, its not that much better, you might end up never using the wheel anyway because its much different than the controller. Turns that were once easy will not be, if you hit the grass prepare to spin out because its almost guaranteed you will, if you wiggle the wheel too much you will spin out etc. I love the wheel but its much different (and harder) using it. Unless you are a hardcore racing sim aficionado it will most likely end up collecting dust.
- Q: Why should I lock the inner wheel when I enter the corner?
- Tire lock means that the vehicle grip reduction, tire friction loss increases, life expectancy, drivers should pay attention to reduce the occurrence of such cases, pay attention to the adjustment of the angle of the brake and the intensity of control.
- Q: Hey guys,I‘m a noob skateboarder and i bought my skate a month ago. It‘s standard sized but I replaced the wheels with 70c cruising wheels because I encounter a lot of rough ground. However, I‘ve been trying to ollie a lot but I can‘t do it. Is it possible to do simple tricks on soft wheels? If not I might have to change them to the stock hard ones.
- the softness of the wheels shouldnt effect your ollie at all. softness just affects your sliding. its probably how big your wheels are. idk what 70c is but if its like a longboard wheel, then thats why. its way to big
- Q: i have a 2006 toyota matrix xr. I am looking to make it look more sport. Right now it has the factory wheels on it. I am look for something that looks cool and is under $700 for all four wheels. Oh and the car is like a gray color. Thanks
- duel or single exhaust? Best thing.if you are not restoring it now, have a muffler shop weld a bracket where it is movingthat should resolve your issue.now when you say restore.is it restore or customize? You may what to be careful what you alter unless you are planning on keeping it
- Q: Can you list any good websites that you can get wheels for a Honda CBR 900rr. Does not have to be custom or chrome etc, just direct replacement wheels.Remember 10 points to the best answer.(I dont want sites that only cover choppers cruisers etc)
- Try all the american OKorder stores that stock motorbike parts. Also do a search for any local wreckers who have a website. I do not know if you are after new or 2nd hand wheels.
- Q: hi i have 8 80mm wheels and i want to put them on my new skates. but my new skates have a hi low setup with 72mm(2), 80mm(1) and 78mm(1). is there any way i could use more than just 2 of my old 80mm wheels as they are better than the ones im getting. please help?
- No, you pretty much have to stick with the set up the manufacturer gives you. While I have heard of two different sizes of wheels in a Hi/Lo set up, yours is the first one I have seen using 3 different sizes. The reason you can't successfully change the wheel sizes is that if you do, you throw off the alignment of the wheels, causing one or more of the wheels to lose contact with the floor/surface you are skating on. Just keep those wheels, and you will eventually be able to use them when the others wear down. Good luck. Steve.
- Q: i have a 1968 mustang with magnesium alloy wheels is it true they are flammable or is that a myth
- What? they look a bit odd?! The most common wheels are cast aluminium. Technically, an alloy is a mixture of two or more metals. These wheels are known for their light weight and strength. In general, alloy wheels are lighter, more attractive, and better at dissipating brake heat that their steel counterparts. Fitting alloy wheels normally reduces your car's unsprung weight - this means a reduction in rotating mass at the ends of the suspension components, giving you improved steering feel and greater braking response. The matter is not only in the looks as most people say but also in the car's performance. That is the reason why all sports and tuned cars have them and yes they are SPECIAL - don't be a blockhead saying that car amateurs (me included) make a fuss over alloy wheels. sorry but that was a bit stupid to say.
