Q: I just moved to a new house (less than 2 years old). The contractor who lived in it put in a central smoke alarm system. Each room has its own smoke alarm and when one goes off, they all go off. Problem is, one always chirps (in the upstairs bedroom). It started to be once a month. We would hit the reset button, ALL of them would squeal for 30 seconds, and all would be fine. Then the same one would start chirping every week. NOW it's every 3 days!Does this matter? We live in a two story home. We live on the first floor and don't purposefully heat the upstairs. (Extra bedrooms that we don't need at this time.) The smoke alarm that goes off is in the upstairs bedroom (unused). At first I thought it was carbon monoxide and I put a detector in there but it still reads zero. It seems like they are plugged in and not battery operated. Well, we can't figure how to get the covers off of them. Who should I call? An electrician? I don't know the brand of alarm system.
You can find out if it has a bayonet fitting by asking Comet and they are obliged to answer truthfully. If both have a bayonet hose then you should just need to unplug the old one and plug in the new one without a gas man. If the new one has no hose which is unlikely then the gas man could easily put the old one onto the new cooker if it is in good condition.
Q: I hardly ever see this in business establishments but I do see it in homes.
Fire, fire!!!! Set a fire, then you can roast marshmallows ;)
Q: I'm in a chemistry lab and trying not to have a noticeable pair of goggles on. I'm looking for a pair (to buy online etc.) that is very subtle, maybe even has clear parts that rest on your ears etc.
No you cannot park there! A few people that I know got tickets for parking by a hydrant eve without any red or any other color paint by it.
Q: Can anyone please tell me what is the BMS (Bulilding Management System). Is there any regulation for BMS system?Where it has to be fitted and who are the approval authorities.
i do no longer think of so. Pipe thread stick is a stable fabric used to seal the hollow between the female and male threads of pipes and fittings. You scrape it on the threads like a crayon. Plumber's putty is greater like a comfortable clay fabric used to fill gaps between porcelain sinks and plumbing furniture inclusive of faucets, spouts and drains. i think of the putty has linseed oil to maintain it pliable and from drying out. Scoop out a wad of putty, roll it between your hands to make a rope, then mildew on the sink on the drain region. installation the drain popout, tighten the nut from under and the putty will squeeze out to fill the hollow. Wipe away any extra putty and shop it interior the jar for yet another day. gentle the putty and you're accomplished.
Q: Yesterday, forgetting there was residue from a fire extinguisher in our oven, i turned it on to prepare some garlic toast. After about 20 minutes, i came back to a very distinctive fishy smell in my kitchen, and when i opened the oven, i got a very big whiff of it. About an hour later, i started getting very stressed and hyper. I felt like i wanted to explode. Also, i was very paranoid, and found myself continually worried somebody was going to break into my house. When i went to bed, i only slept for 30 minutes, even though it felt like i had slept a whole night. When i woke up it felt like i was vibrating in my bed.All in all, it was a very scary experience, especially since i wasn't expecting it. Are their chemicals inside of a fire extinguisher that could get you high like this, or was it something i ate or another external factor?
If you notify your landlord that you will move out until the gas is fixed, she has to prorate your rent for the days you cannot be in the unit. She is not obligated to pay for your hotel or other expenses. If you stay in the unit, you are not entitled to any compensation
Q: I need to wake up early in the morning? Do laptops have an alarm option?
Exhaust piping is commonly made up of carbon steel . You can get carbon steel exhaust piping with and aluminzied coating which tends to protect it from corroding to soon. The next level is 304 stainless which has even better corrosion resistance due to the lower carbon content. On the high end is 314 and 316 stainless. To check the property of the metal stick a magnet on it . If it is carbon steel or aluminized steel the magnet will stick to it. If it is 304 , 314, 316 the magnet won't stick. Dont use a oxy/act system if you are not experienced with it . You will end up torching your car. Use a sawzall / reciprecating saw aloneg with safety goggles for the eyes. Once you figured out your design take the pipe to a muufles shop and have them expand the ends . They will charge you around $20 . Long term savngs compared to the oxy/act system . Its old skool. Plasma cutters are the in thing now
Q: I have an adorable track suit that I purchased from Victoria's Secret ages ago (the kind that nobody ever actually wears for track.. ^_~), and it's made from deep wine-red velour. I went to put it on earlier, and realized that while the *outside* was soft, sensual velour, the *inside* was scratchy and not all that soft. It's the same way with clothing that's satin, or silk, or velvet, or that smooth satin-like fabric that I don't know the name of it always feels wonderful on the *outside*, but *not* on the part that's against my skin. Why is this??
This Site Might Help You. RE: Consumer product safety act of 1972? What was the consumer issue that caused the need for the act? Why the revelent consumer issue became inmportant at the time the act was passed? was there a specific chain of events that led to the legislation who promoted the legislation?
Q: I'm writing my Writing 121 paper and my teacher said we had to include quotes from other previous papers we had done to prove our work and show what we learned. However I'm having difficulties incorporating this. Can someone show me an example? Thanks. Material we wrote papers about: - 5 page paper on Heart of Darkness -Poverty (argued poverty was a choice) - Anton Chekhov's use of
The gauge might just be lose. I'd cut the power, drain the system, see if I could hand turn (righty tighty) the gauge. If it moves I'd remove (lefty loosy) it, rap some teflon tape on the threads (clock wise) and reinstall wrench tight and power on. If the gauge is tight I'd still try that but I'd make sure I had the pipe fittings and supplies necessary to replace the T the gauge threads into.
Q: Can the pressure vessel pipe joint adopt G thread? Why?
The pipe thread is on the wall of the pipe for connecting threads. It has 55 degrees of unsealed pipe thread and 55 degree sealing pipe thread. The utility model is mainly used for the connection of pipelines, and the internal and external threads of the utility model are closely matched with two kinds of straight pipes and a conical pipe
Q: so i'm an incredibly heavy sleeper, but i'm planning on going to a residential high school after this school year and i'd have to wake up to an alarm clock, does anyone have any suggestions on how to make that easier?
Make sure you get the pipe fittings glued on well, especially if this is a crawlspace or somesuch where you might not detect a new leak quickly. Next time you cut the pipe, glue in a clean-out fitting. You would still need to own, rent or borrow a snake, but having clean-outs every 50 or 100 ft will make that a lot easier.
