The best thing for you to do is to buy a cheap prepay mobile phone for about ?30 in London, put ?10-20 credit on it and that should last you for your trip. - You need to go to the T-Mobile website and sign into your account or if you haven't set up an online account, do so. All cell phone carriers have their sites set up that will show you 1. If you qualify for an upgrade. 2. How much this upgrade will cost. For instance: Sprint lets me get an upgrade every year.
