- What is the brand? 1) Any product that is not a first party product (i.e. made by Microsoft) will have an inherent risk factor. However, in terms of a rechargeable battery pack, the only thing you will really have to worry about is the battery melting or exploding from overheating. Explosion is highly unlikely, but battery corrosion and melting can possibly occur. This can happen to ANY battery pack, not just third party ones. So in short, the risk is very low. 2) No, you cannot. The Battery Pack for an XBox 360 controller must be fully inserted into the controller itself. Most if not all rechargeable battery packs have to charge on a base unit that CANNOT be plugged into the controller at the same time. Keep in mind: Rechargeable battery packs degrade with use. You will have a great charge time to start, but as you continue to use your rechargeable battery packs, the amount of play time you will get out of them will diminish. - Just shake the battery pack up and down. The batteries should slide right out. They're designed to stay in the pack tightly so that they do not rattle and make annoying noises, and so when you take the battery pack off, they don't just fall on the floor. But with a simple shake, they should just come out.

- They Pull from both batteries. One battery is said to let you shoot 1800 shots if you are not using a VR lens. I would guess that using a AFS lens would make a difference too. In real life I have been told by many ppl that it is much less than 1800 per battery more around 1200 to 1500. So that being said I would guess around 3000 shots with a MB-D200. If you dont spend a long time reviewing your photos I think your batteries will last longer than your memory. (for 3000 shot you have have to have alot of cards)

- your conclusion that the fault was with the original 2600mah batteries might be incorrect. I know it is quite likely but if it is incorrect, that would explain why batteries you believe are perfectly good are not retaining a charge. The supporting circuitry or perhaps even the motherboard bios could be the problem. The big question is: Are other owners of this model having the same problem? Search on the internet by typing gx630 batteries don't hold charge or something like that. Li Ion batteries sometimes need to be cycled several times to extend their charge time: charge all the way up, run down completely, 3, 4 times. Observe the results carefully to detect any change.,
