I just bought the Rechargeable battery pack for xbox 360. I already had the Play and Charge Kit but it stopped working. I thought the the battery pack had died because it wouldn't charge. But when i plugged the charger into my xbox and into my controller, no light showed up. I don't know if the battery pack is already fully charged or if my charger is just screwed up.

I work in a place with frequent power outages with my laptop. I would usually take out my battery pack when I work with my laptop for hours on end to extend its life span, but here, that wouldn't make sense, since the power is gone every few minutes. I leave both mains power and batteries connected at the same time to tide me over all the blackouts. I will have to work like this for another two months, about 14 hours a day with the laptop on. Is that going to kill my batteries before their time? Or is the effect not that severe?

it's not too severe, though you will damage your battery faster than usual. two months shouldnt be too detrimental to your laptop, though i'd buy a spare if it's cheap.

Your battery is bad. Sometimes they just go out like that. Batteries are expensive, but if you can keep it plugged in you're good to go. Otherwise you'll have to buy a new one.

Look very carefully at any embossed wording on the item, or a tag that is fixed to it, and try to find the company that made the item. If you can find an address for the company, send a letter to their customer help office to get the information that you need. If this battery is not removable, then the item will have to be disassembled to replace it. If it is easily removed, take it out and take it to a store that sells batteries to match it with a new one.

Alright battery pack is same as regular battery input. Just push it in until it clicks or at least stays in the controller I have the battery pack thing too. Always charge them overnight. Inter cooler which I also have just put into the back of your xbox there are pegs on the inter cooler that clip into some of the holes in the back of your Xbox. Then make sure the plug in for power is in its specific spot. Then turn on your xbox and that fans should start to spin and the Xbox will make more noice.

The battery pack is new to you, but it could have been on the shelf in the store or a warehouse for a very long time, easily a couple of years. A single bad cell can ruin a battery pack. 1) One of the cells might have gone bad and can't hold much charge, so it depletes quickly during discharge.
