- Q: I know that NiMH batteries self-discharge over time, but mine are discharging in just a matter of hours. I am using them in a RC airplane. They are 9.6V 650mah AAA packs. I charge them up just as they should be and they put out full power when I test them in my plane. I go to the gym for a couple hours and stop by the flying field on the way home, but when I plug the battery in the motor on the airplane immediately goes to cut-off.An interesting note: If I hold the arming button down to keep the motor going, eventually it will work itself up to putting out enough power to do some low powered flight and will last the duration over normal flight time for the airplane
- one or more of the cells has failed leading other cells to discharge into it , buy some tagged AAA cells and rebuild the packs
- Q: I have a battery pack that looks like it's 16 D batteries joined together with single plug. Seems to be a pack that would be used to power display merchandise in stores, such as games.
- stick the terminals on your tongue
- Q: i wana make a portible outlet/battery packso i can use my corded drill outside (im to poor to buy a cordless one)
- The only way that you can do this and not have it cost more than buying a cordless drill is to get a car battery cheap, maybe connect to the one in your car, and use an inverter to change the 12 volts from the battery to the 120 VAC for your drill. It's not real portable, but you can use an extension cord for thef AC just like you could if you were plugging into the wall. The problem is that a most batteries don't have a lot of capacity in them. Unless the drill is designed to run from a battery, you'll need a battery similar to a car battery to have enough capacity to run the drill for any length of time. Most drills have universal motors in them and can run off AC or DC. But you still need the 120 volts or very close to it to run the motor. This means putting enough batteries together to add up to 120 volts or converting a battery voltage to 120 volts. It'll cost about $40 for a 200 watt inverter. It'll cost more than that to buy enough batteries to add up to 120 volts. You should be able to buy a cordless drill with battery and charger for $40. It won't be the heavy duty, but it'll do for general home use. I had one I used for about 2 years untill I dropped it off a tower.
- Q: I have some things in my circuit that need about 11v and others that need about 7v. Could I make a 12v battery pack and then just tap in at the 7.2v and 12v point. For instance with 10 batteries in series at 1.2v that would be 12v from the first to the last but if i also have a wire coming out from the 7.2v point after 6 cells. These would be rechargable nimh cells so if i did this would they become off balance and not charge right ? Like would the first 6 discharge more than the second six and then when I want to charge all 10 it would mess up those six ?
- You answered your own question. Yes the bottom cells could completely discharge (and possibly reverse charge) which is disastrous for the battery pack.
- Q: I put the play and charge pack in and my controller keeps blinking and the dashboard button the one that blinks doesnt work or neither does any other button
- that means you need to recharge the battery pack because it also does that when you need to replace the batteries.
- Q: i bought the limited edition red controller that came with the play and charge kit thing mid to late last year. recently my 360 red ringed :( but i got it back a few weeks ago, but since i couldn't play it my battery pack just died inside of it (i thnk i only had 2 cells left in it). but i have been playing with it plugged in to the 360 like i did when i would charge it. everything else works fine, but i don't know if maybe a few months from now if i should buy a new battery pack, switch to using real batteries, or just keep doing what i've been doing for the last couple of weeks.
- All what you mentioned are options. You should buy a new Plug and charge kit, its gonna look crappy either whit or black but hey thats only cosmetic.
- Q: i have a craftsman battery 19.2 volts for a power drill that it was charging but now it does not charge enymore so i was wondering if it can be fix or what can i do to fix it
- it isn't worth the aggravation, just get a new one. Sorry.
- Q: i dont know whether they come with a rechargeable battery pack?? answers please im stuck?????
- they dont come with rechargeable ones but u can buy them abd you can use non-rechargeable ones also
- Q: How is the battery pack connected in series?
- Can be the first string into the same battery, and then parallel. Such as: 1.5 volts battery 9, can be a group of three in series, into 4.5 volts, then the three groups in parallel, each group of positive phase, negative phase. The total voltage of 4.5 volts, the capacity of a battery 3 times.
- Q: I recently bought an SRC M933 M4 from a friend with a red dot sight and an extra mag, The battery is an 8.4v battery pack. However, the problem is that whenever I leave the battery plugged in the gun, it loses charge. Also, Even after it was freshly charged, and I dont even put it in the gun, it also loses charge. Is the battery supposed to be like that? Or should I buy a new one?
- Batteries will lose charge if they just sit there for a while. At least mine do. For example, if i charge my battery for 6 hours then un plug it and just let it sit, the next day it will have no charge. This is the same with all of my batteries so its probably how they all are. At the same time if the 8.4v was the battery that came with the gun (lile included in the package) i would reccomend buying a new one, as the ones that come with the gun are of lesser quality. Hope this helps!
