- i think their great, i mean we live in a model world, you can contact anybody really quickly and efficiently as long as you have their number and battery etc. It does it annoy me when your out at a restaurant having a nice meal and a mobile keeps on ringing and lil kids playing their ringtones really really annoying me apart from that their really helpful and great as long as their not used so much it become antisocial to the people your with.
- Q: I picked out this phone on the T-Mobile website, and it won't let me check out. I think it will only let me check out if I choose a monthly rate plan, but I don't need one. - No you cannot buy just the phone without a new line of service on the T-Mobile website, in other words you will be buying the cell phone/Device at retail price. Also you cant go to a t-mobile retail store and buy just the phone either, they're no allowed to sell you the phone on the spot as because its only for customers activating a new line of service with them. You would have to order it from t-mobile thru the store have it mailed to you, also you can check local cell phone retailers who sell unlocked cell phones, or a walmart store as they carry some of the newest T-mobile phones (G1, Blackberry, Sidekick, Behold Etc) Another option would be OKorder or Craigslist. I no longer have a published number so people can't find me, you can become enslaved by it because people expect you to answer if your neked, in bed, or on mount fuji. They occupy other peoples space, when in public, and the overage charges are insane. As for phones while driving, at school or work, its not the phone but the people who make the trouble. If someone harasses you accidentally or intentional you could fly into a tree, fail an exam or shorten your temper with your boss and co-workers, or get something thrown at you over the cube wall the 10th time you tell the story. As for kids, a cell phone is like free candy. They dont usually have the self control to walk away, and not answer. Its an age where they crave attention and community, and a cell phone is what need and want, yet can feed into bad habits. Its a parental issue to decide, choose your plans wisely so they can error with costing you 400$.
